For me, comparing Tobias to Paulo is like comparing Vin Baker to Charles Barkley. I am not saying that Paulo will be Charles Barkley, I am saying that talent-wise, Paulo is on a different planet.
youd think top picks would sit on top of the east...because you know statistics says so...lolololol adebayo pick no 14 herro pick no 13 jimmy butler pick no 30 kyle guy 55 dedmon undrafted markieff morris 13 duncan robinson undrafted max struss undrafted lowry 24 pj tucker pick no 35 omer yurtseven undrafted gabe vincent undrafted caleb martin undrafted lololololololllll statistics where are you? helooo braiiiiinn? top PICKS, helooo!!!!...SUPER HYPED MEDIA FRAUDS...heloooo!!! we're waitiiiiing..... gonna wreck you once you hit nba floors....
Its really not that big a deal. We're nitpicking. Raw FG% numbers are about as useful as win share arguments there's way better metrics and defensively speaking the jury is still out on how to quantify defensive impact into a neat stat - I was being a little facetious. Just trying to make a point that Banchero is a very capable ball handler and defender in similar ways to Cade while being slightly less efficient as a shooter. All in a package of 6'10 250 lbs and growing. You see Paolo with the ball and its fluid. He is instinctual and usually makes the right play. I dont think anyone in college is double teamed as much as he has lately and he's been able to adapt on the fly and keep being a + player. He will get outside of himself when his team starts to fall behind and has a tendency to chuck. There is just so much NBA game that he already has that just needs to be refined. Shooting is usually the easiest skill young players can improve on and his 73% FT shooting would lead me to believe that he will be able to improve. I'd say it will be easier for Banchero to be a "good" shooter than saying Jabari will develop NBA level ball handling skills. Having a master of the midrange on the team is not a bad thing at all IMO. It would bring a nice balance to a team who already shoots a bunch of 3s. Paolo's Bully Ball ISO game would match Senguns and having to defend two of those guys would not be fun. edit: Tobias Harris has never been the play creator that Banchero is NOW. Harris is 6'8 230. Banchero is 6'10 250 and could possibly still grow a little. Thats not a small difference.
That is absolutely the #1 concern for most Chet critics moreso than his frame. He has balled up into the fetal position too many times vs ranked opponents and more physical players. If he nuts up early in the tournament I'd be totally out on him. If he shows up and plays great and demonstrates that he can get up for big games he will be the #1 pick. Thats the huge swing on a guy like Chet. Will he be a career 3&D player or will he be able to lead a team?
We are a team that shoots a lot of 3’s, but misses a lot of 3’s. In a vacuum, if you are a team that shoots a lot of 3’s, it would seem adding someone that hits a lot of 3’s is better than someone who misses a lot of 3’s. I’m ok with Paolo and think he will be an NBA starter, but have him behind Chet, Parker, and Ivey, mainly because I don’t see the same fire or athleticism. Parker is the ideal fit in my opinion, but we will have to get lucky to land him.
You are not wrong. You got the wrong Jabari though! LOL - Jabari SMITH is a great 3 point shooter no doubt. Im of the opinion that a great shooter can be schemed out of critical possessions. A great 3 point shooter that cant create a drive to the basket even more so. Now what Jabari does amazingly good is making TOUGH shots. Hard to quantify that translating when the defenders in the NBA will be better. I think any of the big guys could be made to prosper here because they would all compliment Jalen Green. Not sure how adding another combo guard or wing would help since we seem to have an abundance of those already. Personally - I'd like to be a more balanced team.
lol do you want me to do the same thing with the current champs roster or you will look it up yourself? pro tank minds would look even worse then but its ok youre a big contrarian i get it i am wired the same...
In the last 30 years. Hakeem twice Jordan six Lebron four Shaq four Duncan five David Robinson two Durant two Drafted first, second, first, first, first, first, second. not sure about the contrarian thing, perhaps more willfully ignorant. but sure let’s go for the bucks, pistons, raptors, warriors first ring model. = total of 4 I guess the Mavs count as well? I don’t know.
I wish I was a great contrarian but in reality I am just someone who has fun and who is opportunistic. We are two friends, friendly rivals going at each other, au contraire. Let me just say: Rome was not built in One day. There is not just one way that goes to Rome. ------ The Heat are overall a better franchise in the last 20 years, there is no comparison. I have Zero confidence in Rafael Stone to win a ship by only Trade and only via Free Agency. I have 20% confidence in him drafting someone with a high up lotto pick. Let me just get the numbers clear, that is an improvement. It is not by much lmao. The Draft and its Lotto section is all about Luck, and if Stone is lucky and incompetent, he might still end up with a superstar.......
You are correct of course. Bowie had many championships himself though. Which proves my point!!!!!!!!! joking Jordan being 3rd is not a top pick and means you don’t want a top pick. Trade down for multiple picks. Like 10 second rounders and see what happens.
There’s definitely something wrong with their algorithm. We should be in the top 4 over 50% of the time, but it has us at #5 in well over 2/3 of the sims.
