It's about that time of the year for me to migrate over here from the GARM. Feels good to be back. Now resign Correa
I like these moves. Nelson Cruz shunning Dodgers and Padres for the Nats too beef up the NL East just a little more. Don’t know what the hell Minnesota is doing. Yankees are certainly out of the running on Correa. They need a 1B. And a Catcher maybe. Let’s keep Correa!! Don’t care if it takes 10/350 gotta pay to keep your most valuable player. 6-7 prime years ahead. As long as they pipe in expiring vets with top prospects they can sustain Correa, Tucker and maybe Alvarez as the core of this decade
WTF is McCullers doing all off season, this is a terrible look. Dusty is optimistic he will play this year? I mean what????
Not encouraged at all reading those comments from Baker on McCullers. I mean he hedged when asked if Lance would pitch AT ALL this season much less be ready for opening day. If Lance really is hurt then Houston needs to make a move for another ToR SP if one is at all available. Astros get: SP Luis Castillo Reds get: RHP Hunter Brown RHP Forrest Whitley RHP Bryan Abreu RHP Jake Odorizzi
The Astros are inveterate liars about injuries. It is incredibly frustrating. Until definitively said otherwise by Dusty or Click, I think we have to assume that Snake's rumor was correct, LMJ will be getting surgery, and we are down a TOR pitcher. They damn well better sign Correa for more than one year so they can trade Pena for a pitcher.
I'm assuming one of the terms of a lockout is that you can't have proper contact with team doctors when you're rehabbing.
Sure.....but we're not talking about some random pauper, we're talking about someone who has already made more than 15 million dollars in his career....who is set to double that total this year alone. He can afford to seek out the best doctors in the world if he chooses to.
But that doesn't seem to make sense for either party? Use this doctor, unless we can't negotiate on time, then you're on your own? And they'd trust the care of the asset they've invested multiple millions into in the hands of an unknown doctor?
Add in Javier (who should hopefully have a more defined role this year… perhaps has a starter), and its more than fine.
