New Orleans would have to include 2/3 out of Alvin Kamara, Michael Thomas, Cam Jordan in any deal for me to even consider it. Their draft picks are not very appealing at all and would not be my ideal choice as a trade partner, but if Watson says thats where he would play what can you do?
If you’re willing to take Kamara, you have to be willing to take CMC. CMC is better and they’re both injury prone with big contracts. I personally wouldn’t want either. The saints package isn’t the best, they would have to include a lot of picks And CMC is younger
Please don't destroy the delusions. Can't we at least hope the Texams did this? It gets exposed. The McNairs have to sell the team. Come on let people have a glimmer of hope...LOL
And didn't Kamara just beat the crap out of someone at the pro bowl. Is that better than what Desaun was accused of. Got to keep it real.
If Watson says that’s where he wants to go the he better tell saints cough up whatever Caserio wants because if not it’s no more football again for Watson for a while and this time he will face heavy fines.
https://theathletic.com/3173471/202...aron-rodgers-jimmy-garoppolo-sandos-pick-six/ 2. Reports have suggested the Houston Texans still want three first-round picks for Watson. I’ll take the under on that any day, unless Watson cares about his perceived worth relative to, say, Wilson. Three factors combine to give Watson power while reducing the Texans’ leverage for maximizing what they receive in return as a potential trade looms: • No-trade clause: Watson must waive his no-trade clause for the Texans to deal him. That means Watson could select one team he’s willing to join, preventing Houston from pitting multiple suitors against one another. One of the few potential reasons for Watson to encourage a bidding war would be if he cared how much he commanded relative to what Wilson commanded from Denver. Why would anyone care about such a thing? For the same reason Rodgers rushed onto Twitter to refute reports he was signing a contract extension so massive, it could reduce the Packers’ flexibility in free agency. Perceptions mattered to Rodgers. Do they matter to Watson when it comes to his trade value? Or does he mostly just want out of Houston for a shot at continuing his career? • High 2022 salary: The Texans paid $10.5 million in salary to Watson last season while refusing to play him in games. They would have to pay him $35 million to do the same thing in 2022. It’s implausible to think Houston would be willing to pay out that much cash for Watson to sit. Could the team pivot and ask him to play? That seems unlikely. The perception now is that Houston must move Watson for all practical purposes. • Texans’ stance: The Texans have been unwavering on Watson to this point, refusing to play him and creating the strong impression he must be traded eventually. If Houston had asked Watson to play last season and Watson had refused, it’s possible the quarterback’s contract could have tolled, which would have delayed his 2021 compensation until this season. Under that scenario, Watson would be playing for $10.5 million instead of $35 million this season, and the Texans would be in stronger position to wait out trade partners. The Seahawks got two first-round picks, two seconds, one fifth and three players for Wilson and a fourth-rounder. Watson should command less, in my view, because Seattle could have plausibly brought back Wilson, whereas holding onto Watson is less practical for the Texans. Also, Wilson’s standing in the community remains unchallenged, whereas Watson is facing those 22 civil lawsuits for sexual misconduct or sexual assault, which have damaged his reputation. Watson is reportedly expected to meet with Carolina and New Orleans while deciding where he wants to play. Tampa Bay is out unless conspiracy theories come true. Early indications suggest the Seahawks are more likely to follow the path they followed a decade ago when they built their roster around a quarterback on a lower-priced contract.

But, we aren't the Rams. The Texans are legit in the NFL's basement. You don't want to be loading up on expensive older players and luxury, nice-to-have items. If the guys they are sending us aren't basically rookies they can go pound sand. This trade should be 4-5 high value picks and MAYBE one or two very young high ceiling guys. Anyone who is going to contribute exclusively in 2022-23 is not welcome. We're looking for assets that will pay out in 2024 and beyond.
F*ck that. Thrown in Mack, Chubb, and 2 first round picks this year and 1 next year and trade Baker to someone else. Use this year's first round picks for a couple offensive linemen and save next year's pick for a QB if Mills doesn't progress.
CMC is overrated and doesn’t move the needle. Hard Pass on him. No RB should be a major factor in a deal like this. They are easy enough to find.
Trey Lance, first round pick this year +3rd round pick this year along with, 1st round pick next year +2nd round pick. And players Brandon Ayiuk + Ambry Thomas + Azeez Al Shaair... calm down Calhoun he is a linebacker not a resistance fighter. It's a good deal. 49ers can sign Safety Reid if he doesn't come back here and pick up Will Fuller. But on the real the 49ers drafted Trey, one of my faves in that draft. It's completely normal to want to hand over the keys to him after sitting out a year and thus trading away Jimmy. Doubt it's Deshaun related.
