    4 wingspan Bruno Fernando

“Standing 6-10 with a 7-4 wingspan, a 9-1 standing reach and an incredible body with impressive mobility, power and explosiveness, Fernando has comparable dimensions to those of Jarrett Allen, Derrick Favors and LaMarcus Aldridge, according to our extensive measurements database.
    Vs.
Garuba is 19 years old, standing 6-foot-8 with a 7-2 wingspan. Part of his appeal is what he could become with a few years of NBA experience. That he's playing in these Olympics, though, speaks to the kind of player he is right now.Jul 29, 2021

The only ones dumb enough to give up on Garuba are the same ones who said Green is the next Corey Brewer.

It takes big men time to develop, as with Green we expected Garuba to be far more advanced than he turned out but thats not really an issue esp given lack of playing time for him. It took CWood like 5 yrs to break out, thats normal trend for big men hence why drafting Mobley at 2 was a risk. Mobley showing at yr 0 or Capela.showing out affer 1 yr, those are mostly exceptions not the rule for big men.

I hope not, he still looks like he is growing into his body; I am wrong most of the time though.

Statistically speaking it's way, way easier to give up on guys in the back half of the draft and eventually be proven right.

Even when Green struggled he clearly had otherworldly top end athleticism. Garuba just looks like a dude so far. Maybe he gets it together some day.

Typical Clutchfans members you are dealing with.

They set their hair on fire if results aren't grand enough after one week....
even though it takes rookies 3 to 4 years to develop on the average.

    Drama be their name

P.S. he got in the game today vs Pels and hit a 3

I still don’t get what people think Usman should have done more of in these minutes.

He was pretty active hitting a three, getting a steal playing one on one defense on the perimeter, hitting the boards…

Maybe they think he was Bruno like the Pels announcer.

Garuba was someone who got PT in Euroleague as a 19 yr old. I dont think a dude will do that esp in Europe where the skill req is higher.

You are right though guys 20th onwards usually turn into busts. But I'm hopeful on Garuba though I think he belongs in the teens in his draft class.

I rewatched his minutes tonight, and he definitely didn't look like a bust. He was very disruptive defensively, and I'd say that he will likely develop into a solid rotation player. On one possession he didn't come out far enough to contest a 3 (which was made), but there were plenty of positives tonight from him.

With Green and Sengun looking like studs, and Christopher making himself look very serviceable, Garuba also turning out to be a hit would be a rare feat for a rookie GM like Stone.

I think he might be frustrated.

Interesting watching his body language. He looks like someone trying to play euro team ball stuck with stat sheet stuffer bench clearers.

I’d like to see him get more time.
