Baker and Sam Darnold are negative assets

If taking in Darnold means the Panthers throw in an additional draft pick I say do it. The Texans will have enough space to take on Darnold’s contract and he will come off the book in 23 when the Texans will be ready to splurge in FA.

Is it a big difference?. There wasn't even enough evidence to go to trial. So isn't that better than being found not guilty?

I agree the team is trash but the defense was making strides last year and we have - high draft pick. Plus Davis mills could fetch us something as well. I think we could rebuild with Deshaun pretty fast.

Just with Houston sports teams luck, I am just waiting 20 years for the Netflix documentary about how the Texans paid these women to speak out against Deshaun because he demanded a trade. Then we could never repair the damage and keep him. Next thing you know he leads the saints to a super bowl.

Ever star quarterback has a say in personnel, coaching and gm hires. That's all he wanted and we chose Easterby over him. Not surprising he wants a trade. Arod has asked for multiple trades in the past and he's still a packer winning MVPs. We can repair it if we want. Texans are just too poorly run and dumb.

No NFL team lets players choose their coaches/gm. Why? Because that player can be traded, injured, or some off the field issue can torpedo their involvement in the team. A player can lend their opinion, but a team would be DUMB to let players choose their coaches/gm. That Watson thought he had more than opinion is narcissistic.

Aaron Rodgers didn't get to pick the Packers' coach. Matter of fact, some said he didn't like who they picked.

I didn't say to let him choose. He just wanted a voice. They coulda just let the new gm and coach talk to him and show them their vision. Just to make him happy.

$156 million extension should have made him happy. This was never about that though. It was about Easterby finding out about his off the field activities and trying to do things to correct Watson's behavior. He didn't like Easterby talking with his mom (it was said she reached out to the Texans...but who knows). Easterby handled it BADLY, so that is on the Texans since Easterby shouldn't have been in that position. The GM selection is just an excuse for Watson.

Indeed. Especially Darnold. I wouldn’t want that dude as a 3rd string qb. Terrible.

Bengals kept Joe Burrow in the loop on decision to draft Ja’Marr Chase.

Packers traded for Randall Cobb just to appease Rodgers.

    Not necessarily.

If the Browns offered this year's first, next year's first, Denzel Ward and Jedrick Willis, I'd pull the trigger. I'd try to get them to throw in a third as well, but I'd be tempted without it.

Davis Mills is better than Baker. Yeah, I said it.

Not sure if he's better right now, but definitely has potential to be better, and therefore, I have no interest in Baker.
