Poll: Scottie Barns v Jalen Suggs - the real 4th pick

I voted for Barnes. So far so good. At the time of the bump 30.2% Barnes and 68.2% Suggs. Dude has the worst TS% in the NBA out of ALL qualified players. That’s crazy.

 

Not hating. Monster ass stat line, but these 10 assists are cheap af. He literally just passing to guys pulling up. Nothing he really created. The long outlet pass was nice and his size allowed him to make a very tough post entry pass.

Suggs has been atrocious pretty much all season…his rookie season has been Mudiay level bad

he’s gonna need to be in the gym all summer putting in major work

his bad play has completely flown under the radar…the benefits of playing for an afterthought franchise like Orlando

 

I did not know much about Barnes because I think he was poorly covered by the media.

I do think that Suggs will catch up in his 2nd and 3rd year but Barnes would be the much better player.

boy are you wrong. Barnes is not no damn role player, he’s a future Star, while Suggs is a scrub.

 

Suggs's ceiling is probably the lowest among the top prospects in this draft mostly because of the lack of explosiveness and lack of elite scoring ability. He was highly regarded mainly because his floor was believed to be high. He was supposed to be poised and smart and hard working.

Ironically, his floor turned out to be the lowest and his ceiling remains the same. I think his trajectory will probably like Lonzo Ball's. Terrible rookie season. Then gradually improving to be a solid starting PG, but not close to being a star.

 

He has been better since the ASB but yeah worthless first half of the season.

It is only "Mr. Midrange" DeMar.

It is more of a strong gradual explosion than the Green catlike quick explosion.

He didn’t say Barnes would be a role player.. he said Barnes ending up being a role player and Suggs ending up being a HOF is probably what it would take for the Raptors to regret their pick decision.

Either Suggs or Cole Anthony will get traded now that Fultz is back and looking sharp. If Orlando gets the 3rd or 4th pick do they take Ivey and trade both Suggs and Cole away?

 

Glad we didn’t get him, his shooting in college was not great even from FT.

 

Suggs had bust written all over him in college. He was unathletic for even a college player and couldn't shoot.
