Jalen Hurts removed “Philadelphia Eagles” from his bio. Saints, Bucs, Panthers restructured contracts. Deshaun will be playing simultaneously for the Eagles, Steelers, Panthers, Saints AND Bucs, twitter sources confirm. This is a developing story. More as it becomes available.
https://www.usatoday.com/story/spor...buccaneers-pursuit-deshaun-watson/7015440001/ The Carolina Panthers, Cleveland Browns, New Orleans Saints and Seattle Seahawks have expressed the strongest interest in Watson, two people with knowledge of the situation told USA TODAY Sports. The people spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to publicly discuss the situation. Other teams, including the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, could wind up joining the pursuit of the three-time Pro Bowl selection. Watson wants to go to a team with a strong coaching staff and roster to ensure he has the best chance to contend for Super Bowls after four frustrating years in Houston. It's believed that New Orleans could top his list of desired destinations. The Saints have a strong defense and a talented collection of offensive weapons. A strong push from the Buccaneers could sway him, however, some league insiders believe. The Browns are the other team best positioned to win now.
He can want in one hand and **** in the other, see which one fills up first. Best package is what it’s going to take.
Yeah, I think if he pulls any BS about not waiving his no trade, you just tell him that there will be no trade at all if he doesn't agree to it. The sexual predator doesn't get to dictate the terms of him getting run out of town. If the Panthers give the best package, that's where he's going or IMO he can sit out the rest of his contract and see what he can get after that.
While I don't disagree with your sentiment at all, it sounds like he would be willing to waive for the Panthers.
I would think so too. He needs to get playing again, and playing well so that everyone forgets about how he treats women. Ask Kobe or Big Ben, you can do literally whatever you want to women so long as you play well afterwards. Sports fans absolutely will not hold it against you if you are good enough. His best bet is to try and get Carolina into the playoffs eventually. His history is erased at that point. As an aside, I really like what the Texans could potentially get from Carolina, so that's where I'm hoping he goes.
https://www.profootballnetwork.com/...aggressive-suitors-for-franchise-quarterback/ The list of teams that have made recent inquiries about Watson include the Carolina Panthers, Seattle Seahawks, Minnesota Vikings, Cleveland Browns, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and the New Orleans Saints. The Philadelphia Eagles and San Francisco 49ers were interested in Watson over the past year before moving on, per sources. The Panthers, sources say, wouldn’t be willing to trade Brian Burns or Jeremy Chinn. Other players that could be involved in a potential Watson deal: running back Christian McCaffrey, defensive tackle Derrick Brown and wide receiver D.J. Moore. The Cleveland Browns have been aggressive about Watson and are “incredibly interested,” and are regarded as a “wild-card entry” into his trade market The Pittsburgh Steelers, contrary to reports, are not and have not been involved in the Watson sweepstakes, according to a source. The Seattle Seahawks, having traded franchise quarterback Russell Wilson to the Denver Broncos, are also interested in Watson and potential trade scenarios to fill the huge void they just created under center. The Seahawks have a lot of draft capital, including the Broncos’ original ninth overall pick, two second-rounders, and players that could be included in a prospective trade, including wide receivers DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett. The New Orleans Saints, with quarterback Jameis Winston rehabilitating from a torn ACL and a pending unrestricted free agent, are also interested in Watson, according to league sources. The Saints would have some serious salary cap maneuvering to perform to add Watson. The Saints are working on their salary-cap issues, including restructuring cornerback Marshon Lattimore’s deal Saturday. The Saints have reached out to the Texans, according to sources. The Minnesota Vikings have expressed interest in Watson despite the presence of quarterback Kirk Cousins, according to sources. The Buccaneers have expressed interest in Watson, according to sources, but do have salary-cap issues.
Anybody want Kirk Cousins? He's a lifetime .500 QB with good stats. Arguably, he's underperformed in big games, but he's also won many big games (which his haters forget). Carolina still seems to make the most sense.
This did nothing but hurt the Texans. Even now they don't get as much as a haul as they would have last year with him coming off a career year. I also think the QB class was better last year than this year.
