Man, I think I’ve been talked into Walker over Kayvon. Neal and Walker or Walker and Hamilton or Walker and Sauce
We’ve personally experienced someone making the dumb choice. I won’t underrate the ability to simply do what makes sense. Clearly every GM doesn’t have that trait.
Trust me I would be all for that…but don’t necessarily feel like that would be best for the long term rebuild. Gotta think big picture and long term
I like Sauce a lot. Sauce and JC, as well as Burns, potentially another top prospect DE and say Breece Hall would do wonders.
Keep Tunsil and receive Burns. 3. Hamilton 6. Whoever slides that’s not an OT Sauce, Thibs, or Walker. I don’t want one of the OT because we should be set there. I’d also explore a trade down from 6 to a team wanting Pickett, Willis, Ekwonu, etc. get another pick, and take whoever is sliding. Finally I read Linderbaum might slide due to short arm measurements at the combine. I’d try to trade back into the bottom of the first to get him. My perfect draft would be Hamilton, Sauce/Stingley/Thibs and Linderbaum. Then BPA the rest of the way. JC Jackson in FA and cut Murray and Cannon. Find a RB and if Mills pans out you could be .500 this year and a playoff team the following.
Where there’s smoke, there’s fire. The Carolina move seem to indicate they know something, Seattle seems to be shifting their focus, I highly doubt Deshaun won’t waive his clause for Carolina. I think this gets done here quick.
Yeah, I could see it getting done this weekend, to be honest. I could also see Caserio drag it out in hopes of extracting more, too, though. If I'm Caserio, I settle on Burns and three firsts. Start by trying to get Burns and Chinn (or Horn) plus the picks, and then settle on Burns and picks. Anything more is icing on the cake.
This is the way for me, but I just get this feeling that Carolina is going to insist on us taking CMC(fanbase seems more than ready to move off of him). Having said that I’m coming around to the idea of CMC, Burns, 3 1s and late picks. Burns is again very underrated, and if we get the 6th pick this year, I have a hunch Caserio will dangle that pick for more picks for a team looking to come secure their QB.
https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id...essive-offer-houston-texans-qb-deshaun-watson This article this morning certainly seems to suggest Deshaun would waive his NTC for Carolina.
This would be nice if true and was exposed making the McNairs sell the team. Still doesn't excuse Watson though.
I would like that but I would would want another player too if CMC is coming. Especially with his contract and injury history.
We should at least let cmc play out half the season and trade him. I love cmc game and it would put me in a seat to watch the Texans but in reality I know he won’t last through the rebuild. Sucks he wasn’t available while we had a run with Watson
Went to the Carolina/Texans game a couple years back and watched CMC single handedly beat the Texans. We’d be doing Carolina a favor by taking him on at this point- strictly off of his contract/lack of durability, alone. Big contract RBs aren’t the way to go- pretty sure Nick knows this
I think Caserio is doing a much better job than BoB and Easterby. He is navigating the McNair's LOVE for Easterby.
