https://www.tankathon.com/power_rankings RANK TEAM CURRENT PICKS ROUND 1 | ROUND 2 ----- VALUE 1 Oklahoma City Thunder 4, 16, 30, 34 --------- 144.67 2 San Antonio Spurs 7, 17, 20, 41 ------ 136.66 3 Portland Trail Blazers 8, 9, 38, 59 ----- 132.04 4 Houston Rockets 2, 15 ------- 129.69
I always thought their ranking of picks was weird. I don't know, but I'd rather have the Rockets' 2 & 15 than San Antonio's 7, 17, 20, and 41 or OKC's 4, 16, 30, and 34. What am I missing?
I’m with you. Would you trade 2 for 7, 20 & 41? I wouldn’t. To me, that means it’s not more valuable.
Spurs picks keep them at Play In range, they seem to be stuck either way. In their defense, the Spurs are really great at finding talents in the latter lottery and in the teens, better than most teams.
Pistons 8-2 run to go up by 2. The NBA's stupid system can make the Rockets pick the worst only down to 5 if they can keep this worst record.
Rockets currently guaranteed one of Griffin, Smith, Holmgren, Banchero or Ivey so long as they don't win anymore.
Typically someone makes a name for themselves in the tournament. I wouldn't be shocked if someone new comes in.
If Portland offered 8 and 9 for 1 (our actual rank now) I would consider it, and probably decline. I would MAYBE trade 1 for 4 16 and 30 I would NOT trade 1 for 7 17 and 20. Then we also have pick 15. Our picks are better IMHO. But tankathon probably just gives each pick a numerical value, and our lack of a 2nd may count against us in their simulation model
I got Keegan Murray as someone who could be a sneaky riser into the top 5 39.3% from deep on the season now. Can score inside and out, face up dribble drive or turn and hook. Very solid defender who could play on the wing. Provides decent rim protection. Decent handle. Decent athlete If he was a freshman he would probably be consensus #1...
Yeah, pretty poor value. The closest example we have is Atlanta traded #3 to Dallas for #5 and next year's #10 in the Luka trade.
