Yo girl may find herself in some trouble https://www.fox26houston.com/news/search-warrants-harris-county-administration-building
If Hidalgo gets frog-marched out of the Harris County administration building in broad daylight, that is unlikely to help her re-election prospects.
Hidalgo's fixing sidewalks but not paying $100,000 per for 50 new cops to land-strafe Pedro Oregon or stop and frisk AAS profs at Frenchy's on Scott? How much did flour tortilla pay pacified Biff Tannin to "restore" that late '80s momwagon, does it get 93Q's old non-country broadcasts? I re-mem-ber hear-ing Wil-son Phil-lips for the first time in ca-ar like th-a-at.
Commandante Hidalgo only got a plurality in 2018, and 2022 will be a more hostile environment for Dems. Plus it will be a referendum on her covid policies
The good ol boys are just going to have to accept that Harris County and urban Texas has changed. In Houston they can have their one or maybe even maintain two seats on the Harris County Commissioner's Court., their right wing AM talk shows, their control of Auston through their control of declining rural counties for a bit longer while they adapt.
glynch is fired up about that changing murder rate this is Commandante Hidalgo's legacy, she will be removed in November
We gonna blame Hildago for Covid and inflation that is responsible for higher crime rates across the country now? What do you want Hildago to do with the global inflation problem?
I don't think I've blamed her for inflation, but now that you bring it up, I doubt her lockdown policies have made things cheaper.
The indictments are in https://www.khou.com/article/news/c...ract/285-2a56a009-efae-4ab6-a6a3-4496459a1e77
That actually is bad. And it'll be bad for Hidalgo's campaign. She was not indicted, and I do like her a lot, but I don't think I can vote for her with even the appearance of potential impropriety here. Too bad the primary is already past. I can tolerate (but not vote for) a Republican as county judge for a few years. Corruption is the biggest sin for a politician in my book.
