Usually if you want to make a point, you throw it right past someone or onto the ground. It was Lucas. The soup was likely a reference like you said.
Ya'll really need to tap the breaks it was one game that is not a sign of being clutch he had a good game down the stretch. Are you really still trying to compare him to MJ and Kobe? No, it's not rare to see a rookie improve his game during the season they do it all the time, Edwards did it last year. You got a lot of hyperbole in this post. one of the all-time drafts? Really?
They weren't denying the stats. They were denying your extrapolated conjecture. You understand the difference right? They disagree with the part where you extrapolate that if he reaches his potential, he'll be Corey Brewer or a competent NBA player in a few seasons because either you were trolling then or you have a severe misunderstanding of how 19 year old rookie guards do in the league even the ones who eventually become stars. Rookie guards under 20 even the ones who eventually become superstars struggle a lot especially with advanced metrics and especially on crap teams. There are very few guards under 20 who having "winning" advanced stats metrics and quite frankly most of them are probably lower late first round draft picks since they are on better teams that can help with advanced stats. When specifically referring to clutch shot making ability Green has shown that he POSSIBLY has that "clutch gene". I can remember even during the part of the season he was struggling he would make big shots. For example the shot he made over AD in one of the earlier Laker games where he did that impressive step back crossover move on AD for the deep three.
I really don't understand these kinds of posts. For one, a comparison is NOT a declaration. No one is saying Green WILL become MJ/Kobe because of the comparison. And yes, it IS rare for rookies to be doing what Green is doing, especially at 19 - 20 years of age. The reason people bring up Edwards' post-AS break rookie season is because it's such an anomaly. It was considered sort of a one-off phenomenon; until, of course, Green started to replicable that amazing feat. Second, people have been spouting similar comparisons with regard to the other rookies and I don't see you harping on them. Where were you attacking all the people who were comparing Mobley and KD?
That tweet does not say he threw something at Lucas if it was at Lucas I am sure it would have said it. Ya'll need to stop. And stop acting like everybody was ******** on Green it was Bobby trolling.
lol it does happen. A person above just showed you rookie guard stats. You don’t think those stats would show individual games that were bad in the first month and games comparable to what Green had last night? Let me say yeah I’m pretty sure there would be several examples from different players. a lot of the metrics you posted are also highly effected by the team a player is on. Green got hurt at the start of an extremely soft part of the schedule. The decent teams the Rockets did play had injuries when we played them. Guess what three players are in the bottom 7 of defense box plus/minus? Gordon KPJ and Green. Who is last in the league in defensive win shares? Gordon. If Green were drafted onto a good defensive team or at least average one would he be where you were posting him. No Would be a good individual defensive player no he wouldn’t be that either. The stats you posted and past precedent makes your 1,000 posts on the matter comical though. Along with your faux astonishment that he has improved. As if it is such an outlier that you didn’t look foolish (all the while calling other posters dumb fan girls etc etc blah blah blah. You won’t admit any of that though. It’s not within your mental makeup nor message board persona you have cultivated to annoy people.
No, because he factually was that bad. It's not even debatable. The point is how absolutely rare and special that kind of improvement is this fast. The zealots who don't want to admit he was ever bad downplay his accomplishments and it's kind of weird.
I think KPJ threw food in Cleveland when they gave his locker to someone else. Not sure if it was soup.
What kind of post? Comparison or declaration to Kobe and MJ is just crazy no matter what you want to call it. It is not rare for a rookie to be doing what he is doing a rookie improves during the year most years especially top 5 picks. No people have not been comparing rookies to HOF's I have seen nobody comparing Mobley to KD maybe I missed it but I believe you are just making **** up. A one-off phenomenon? You really don't know what you are talking about.
Post-AL break, Edwards averaged like 24 points. It was such a rare turnaround that CX promised to drink his own j*zz if Green replicated it. Of course, now that this is a possibility, he's walked back on that for sure. If I don't know what I was talking about, you'd have counterexamples. You don't, because you never do.
That was on February 23, 2022 Jalen Green's stats since 2/23: PPG: 21.8 FG%: 49.6% 3PT%: 35.9% APG: 3.4 RPG: 3.9 Anthony Edwards after ASB his rookie year: PPG: 23.8 FG%: 45.4% 3PT%: 34.9% APG: 3.4 RPG: 5.3
I am not saying rookies make a leap like Edwards but you proved my point that Green is not doing something amazing. And Green is not breaking out like Edwards did so what's your point?
Amazing that he developed a midrange in the middle of year 1. Westbrook is almost 15 seasons in and still doesn’t have one.
Let's see how he finishes the year this is 2 weeks. I hope he does finish the year strong and all of ya'll can clown me but I still say tap the breaks a bit.
