However, they’d need a reliable bridge quarterback during a potential suspension. Kellen Mond doesn’t seem to be ready to play. Buccaneers: Even without Tom Brady, the Bucs can contend at a high level. It makes plenty of sense, and it definitely would close the door on a Brady return. (He’s not coming back to the Buccaneers, anyway.) Steelers: Although former Bucs quarterback Shaun King continues to push the idea that Watson is interested in the Steelers, the force of the all-caps “ARE NOT” interested report from Wednesday suggests that the source goes as high in the front office as possible. Cardinals: If the Cards and Kyler Murray are at a contractual impasse, why not swap Murray for Watson? It would make plenty of sense for everyone, if Houston would be ready to pay Kyler big money.

Watson has a no trade clause. You think he wants to go to Carolina? It will be nearly the exact situation he had in 2020. A bad team with no draft picks. So will Nick cave to whatever he can get from Tampa or is he keeping Deshaun around on the roster even longer? Deshaun wanted Miami. That is off the table. Tampa makes all the sense in the world for HIM. He doesn't care about doing favors for the Texans.
And in return houston CAN sit him or make him play. He doesn’t want to be here, and we sure as shot don’t want him here. He wants out. Period
If I am Deshaun I call that bluff. I'd rather sit and fake injuries in Houston until the owner and GM throw up theirs hands and trade me where I want. Going to Carolina is right back where he was with a bad team and no draft picks. He won't be competing until his 30s in Carolina.

And if I’m the Texans, I call that bluff. We’ve already started moving on. We either find a location that works for both parties or you sit. We’ve already taken black eyes for his actions. Last thing I’m doing is facilitating a trade that’s the worst one on the table. At some point he needs to make a decision if he wants to play again. NFL careers can be short.
Miami was 9-8 with Tua. Add Watson to that roster and you are probably an 11 or 12 game winner. Miami was also about lifestyle for him. That option is now gone. I'm not saying it has to be Tampa. I just don't see him accepting a trade to Carolina. He might take the Vikings or Steelers. Everyone in here just wants the best draft picks. If Deshaun wants out so bad why didn't he take the trade to Carolina or Philly? He's going to fight for the best situation he can get.
