alperen is top 3 defender on this team you dont bench a player for being top 3 on defense... why is fouling such a huge problem? it hurts the team just a little... his activity on defense makes enough to cover for it and then some....no player is without warts.... you are nitpicking now, i thought it was the stamina that was the problem... he should be developing and that cant be done from the bench... silas already r****ded his development by making half the league play 50% minutes more than alpi since the start of the season... thats a huge step back... i hope rockets are planning to trade him...they are juts not good at development...not even a little good..
silas is stealing 15 minutes per game from sengun... why people are not freaking about this more is because 15 minute seems like nothing but accumulated over 60 games its a huge loss for a player at his age...and its even bigger blow to him finding the rhythm and flow than numbers alone could say...silas is a big thief i hope he gets fired soon....
After that 20/10 monster of a game and a full night of embarrassing Lebron and Carmelo, I have only one word to say: I LOVE ALPEREN SENGUN AND HIS POTENTIAL IS THROUGH THE ROOF.
Could've easily had 30 tonight, while still playing sloppy and missing a bunch. Give him these minutes regularly and he'll simply work it out of his system. Green and Sengun will be our best playerS.
Good game. Even though the gif above isn't a good example, I feel Sengun sometimes uses too many fakes instead of just going up strong.
Top 3 in defense on this team is not necessarily a compliment lol. But 100 percent agree that he should be playing more. Not just that but more he plays the more benefit of the doubt he will get too. His recovery blocks are awesome in my opinion and he seems to have a good foundation. Someone like van gundy could have done wonders with him Also I hope we don't trade him, he is my most favorite rocket currently.
And why the fake 3 before shooting Everytime. Sooo excited about this kid bc he is raw but already really good. He has so much room for improvement and they are not big things which is why I think he will get it done
Yes he gets in foul trouble Yes he has to get better at that but it's not like he is fouling out of games and that is why he is not playing alot. Or that he is closing games so the coach can't play him in the middle so he has enough fouls left to finish. He just sits on the bench with fouls and usually takes 2 fouls home with him. Even with the fouls he can play more, just play him till he fouls out bc you are not playing him at the end anyway
He'll learn. Good to see him get big minutes and able to play through mistakes. 4 fouls in 40 minutes is great.
Lakers were one of the worse teams we’ll play from here on out but I liked the flow of our offense even with KPJ at the pg spot. With Sengun and KMJ it felt like the floor was better spaced and guys were able to operate in areas they were comfortable in. I hope we see more wood dnp’s in the last few games.
No doubt. I think it'll come with time when it slows down for him. Sometimes you watch and you think 'what a beautiful fake' Other times you watch and think 'just go up that wasn't necessary' Easier to judge with an elevated shot of the court though. I'm just glad he has better footwork and vision - to know the fake needs to come out on occasions - than at least a good 90% of the league.
