@D-rock wants to trade everybody for Aaron Gordon. If we had MJ, D would trade him for Aaron Gordon. Right D? I got your back
Yeah. I have 3 people on ignore for just being obvious trolls, but @DaDakota really loves the Rockets and has been a passionate fan for a very very long time. I disagree with him on A LOT. But, I don't mind seeing criticism or opposing opinions.
If you don’t know what a good basketball player looks like before they start putting up the numbers to match, just say that. You guys’ eye for talent was just lacking here. We all miss sometimes, it’s ok. All this, i call it like I see it, and he finally showed up, and I don’t celebrate mediocrity is BS. Green has improved in his own right, but many of you haters who crowned other rookies ignored things like team makeup, what these guys were being asked to do and coaching. A lot y’all were just being willfully ignorant or pissy because your guy wasn’t picked. Mobley is very good at what he does. Barnes is a very good well rounded player. Both of those guys are in near optimal positions to hide their weaknesses and amplify their strengths. Green was thrown into the deep end with no real pg, no other go to guy on the team, just a bunch of guys free flowing and taking it upon themselves to run the show whenever they felt like it. Then when Mathew’s came in, y’all nearly lost y’all’s minds trying to give him all of Greens minutes because he could hit threes and take charges. Completely ignoring all logic and reasoning. Y’all earned your positions on the ignore list. Stop trying to weaken your initial stances because as soon as he has a bad game or two you’ll be back to your old ways. Green is turning the corner, not y’all.
DD STFU you annoying @$$ hyprocrite! You were one of the biggest Green haters since the beginning! I’m glad Green is shutting your fat ass up! Lol
Gotta give D Rock credit though. He was right about Evan. As were some media folks. Jalen is on a different path. Its really fun to think this is a super young core that really seem to get along. Green/Sengun/Christopher specifically since same class obviously.
That's stupid. I criticized him when he played like the worst player in the league.... while you praised him for playing terrible. Now that he's playing well, i.... and normal people praise him for it. You don't get to throw a tantrum that I, and normal people, didn't praise him when he played poorly. I'm not a cultist, I don't praise players when they play poorly. You should know that and just accept it without tantrum.
well that just about sums it up. I could not have said it better. i would add that i find it more humorous though than anything else. The Newage fella funniest of all.
A lot? The poll was 60%-30 in favor of Green to Mobley around Draft time! I mean, okay, but the Mobley narrative is also an old one.
Posted exact numbers in other thread but from February he's 60% from "mid range" and 57% on 2pt shots overall.
If a particular player performs terribly and upsets a fan, and then that same player later performs really well and excites that same fan, that's not hypocrisy for a person who's a fan of the team. Right? You can try to claim, in order to be a "real fan" you have to support all players no matter how they play, but that's horse **** and we see it when players are commonly deemed "non-important/Low upside" like House or Wood make mistakes. People express their passion for the Rockets in different ways, some people are genuinely purely fans of the team with near-zero attachment for the individual players. Other people fall further on the scale of being fans of individual players, and many people are just fans of general success / good basketball, and that's why we've seen a huge drop-off in fan engagement since the team imploded.
Well said, people are not that forgiving. Some people are just tired of it all, seeking some minor excitement here and there but jaded overall.
