That's coaching malpractice by Silas after the KPJ injury. Then I remember the goal of this young talented team is to lose and acquire more talent.
Yeah, it's a problem. Hopefully next year he will be more of a leader because your best offensive players should be touching the ball every possession they are in pretty much. Not just standing off to the side watching others struggle to score.
Or a smart point guard who, ya know, KNOWS to get his best offensive player a shot every once in a while.
I was hoping when we saw the 3 guard lineup with Nix, Nix would do this, but he was giving it to KPJ and Sengun. They played well, but I wish Nix would have realized Jalen hadn't gotten any shots. It was actually KPJ who gave Jalen the ball for his first touch and Sengun who tried to get him the ball on a cut.
Everything was humming with Josh at point and then Nix at point. They were all sharing the ball. 3 guys that can get their own and create off the bounce for others. Mathews is a spot shooter and should be a situational player.
Yeah get him the hell out of there. Gary is tough, but this dude is ass at defense.. there is a reason everything fell apart when came back in. Gup is a utility player and he was playing like it when Gary was injured.
This is why we need to move KP to either the 3 or the back up 2 role although I don’t know if he’d be willing to take the latter role. We need to bring in a pass first defensive knock down shot kind of pg to run the show. It’s great that KP can spell the 1 in situations but he’s just not the pg that’s gonna get you to where you wanna be.
