I don't like Rush and Blink 182 was the pet band of THE GREAT Jim Rome, so rack him, Mark Hoppus.

in the Getty Lee or Les Claypool camp but I'll put this here and offer up Chris Squire as a bassist that was before his time beyond many of his peers.

    ;)

I plead ignorance. I really like Geddy Lee's bass work but I won't pretend he is the best at his craft. He's very talented. He had to be to sing, play bass, and work the pedals at the same time. Then, there is the keyboards. He was a very busy guy in concert. He's my personal fave! :)

    ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I just don't like the Niel Pert's voice. I do appreciate the instrumentals. Just not my jam.

As long as you respect the musicianship. ;)

P.S.: You only have to listen to Nel Purt's voice in interviews as he doesn't sing. You meant Gety Lea. Albeit, I did find Nel's voice annoying in interviews because he was so clearly too smart for his own good. For a supposed shy guy, he sure could talk the sh_t out of the interviewer. He never left anything unsaid when asked a question in an interview setting. He talked a mile a minute. Kind of annoying. lol

My bad on the lead's name.

Rush, much like Primus, are great, talented and creative bands. I just don't prefer to listen to either.

Edit: I do like Tom Sawyer.

Met Wooten at Rockefellas in like 2000. He and Bela and Future Man hung out at the bar afterwards. Their show was fantastic.

Tal Wilkenfeld, she is simply brilliant. Here's a taste:

Heck, here's the whole enchilada. Jeff Beck's genius, backed up by a superb band and great guests. Live at Ronnie Scott's, and how I wish I'd caught one of those sets.

you beat me to it! watt rules! he will be in austin during SXSW for one show.

i was not at that show, but was that the weekend that firehose and dos and a bunch of other bands (de schmog, toho ehio, king missile, catherine wheel) played a free show at university of houston? it rained so they had to move the whole thing into a conference room.
