LIke, half of the total season....most of what has been played this season. Green turning things around has been VERY recent. That said, how absolutely pathetic he was early in the season just makes it that much more impressive that he's starting to figure it out now.
Y’all should appreciate the work I’ve done, DaDakota myself for the good of the team. You sit in the comfort of your home in your ivory towers and criticize but what are you really willing to sacrifice for your team? I have given EVERYTHING.
7-8 games. What game into the season are we? Strong argument is strong. I'm the brick wall? HOW MANY TIMES DO I NEED TO REITERATE I'VE NEVER ONCE CALLED HIM A BUST. Holy hell. My signature rings true more and more each day. JOFs really do be making us wish we had the LOFs back. Your stupidity is astounding. Keep living in your fantasy world though. You're right there. You don't look idiotic there.
So you are showing for most of the season he was one of the worst players. Like not during a stretch but like over half the games he was the worst player in the league. Like the absolute bottom of the barrel. Like you would rather have had the 12th guy off of most rosters and they were better than green?
What’s funny about the anti-Green trolls is how so many, after berating anyone who defended Green, are now like, “Why are you tagging me??? I’m happy!” So sad.
JG was actually saucing on people off the dribble tonight. Moves and then counter moves. I’m still sitting here like what happened? Where did this come from? Usually it’s a quick move and the first step is a killer and then it’s a wrap, but this is different. He’s chained moves into step backs, but not like this and now he’s attacking the basket even when his first move is cut off instead of passing it too. Different angle. Different angle.
Im happy for the kid. He seems to be figuring the game out and still has ways to go in some categories (understandably so). Kpj balled out tonight too and showed that he can be close to unstoppable when he has his mojo going. He also showed me why he is more of a 3 than a 1 in this game. If this team could add a pass first pg to go with green and kpj (and hopefully jabari/Chet), you can easily see a phoenix type of rise in few years similar to what they had when they added cp3. Not saying they would go to a championship but that they could turn it around with that formula.
Cuz he’s not a natural pg. he’s a combo guard. Once he and the coaching staff realize that, our backcourt will be beastly. The grizzlies announcers said as much in the second half about Porter. They said the issue on defense is they’re being passive against him and he’s attacking. They said the need to forced him to pass the ball like inthe first half because he’s more deadly attacking than setting ppl up and that if he’s passing there’s a lot of opportunities for turnovers like in the second quarter.
National media starting to take note. Glad this happened against Ja and the Grizzlies. Ja has the NBA world’s attention right now and KPJ, Jalen, and Wood put on a show tonight.
Even when he was playing poorly at the beginning of the season you could see the potential - it was always there. And we knew he was a hard worker. And that's what has happened, he's put in the work and you just felt that eventually he was going to get here. And this is just the beginning. The sky's the limit for this kid. He just has to keep working and staying hungry. Long journey.
You can't fool me w/ your cult-like propaganda @vator . You're clearly superimposing big busty Green into all these highlight reels.
As mentioned elsewhere - Green’s “college” season was ruined in the G league because of the start of the pandemic. The G league didn’t continue on like college basketball because they don’t have the same fan base to make money on. Green got like 13 games of reps over a month compared to 40+ Over many months for a lot of his peers who choose NCAA. I think a BIG part of his questionable skills development at the start of the season can be attributed to that - he went to the G league for the right reason but just became a victim of economic circumstance in the pandemic.
