Its actually quite on point. There is serious concern in the US by the majority of people of how to curtail the level of targeted misinformation to people of limited means. If it wasn't so terrifying, It would be quite fascinating to watch as it takes ahold of even educated individuals who should be smart enough to see through it. As a fellow American, I hope one day you can see how this affected you, but as of today there are few effective means to break people out of their cults. Sadly it typically takes some catastrophic event for people to wake up.

That doesn't support the tweet you realize? I just don't get why you guys keep talking about how Biden is stopping oil from being produced in the US. He's not. It's such a garbage lie.
are you suggesting that people who have access to fox don't have access to other media outlets as well?
She's not. Conservatives are brainwashed on many topics. You guys lack the critical thinking skills to see through it. Just look at the tweets on energy. Filled with misinformation and junk from the oil industry. They don't want to ramp up oil production. They are going to wait because high prices are good for them.
from the article you did not read, because you were too busy following @Sweet Lou 4 2 parroting Biden propaganda: "Members of the administration have been promoting the idea that companies are free to simply start using these leases if they’d like to. However, these statements can be misleading. According to a Department of Interior report, the U.S. had more than 37,000 oil and gas leases just last year — so 9,000 is a small number comparatively — and just because an oil company has a lease doesn't mean they can just start drilling. They must organize and safely manage their reservoir and satisfy several regulatory requirements, such as an onsite inspection, environmental review and permit approval. This process can actually take up to 10 years."
The market. Oops. PAY THE MAN UNCLE SAM. LET THEM TAKE MY MONIES...then later sign fat dividend checks.when no one is looking
Sinclair Broadcasting Group has put their typical conservative twist on the article... NPR... Supply is comparatively low for several basic reasons. The first is that the war in Ukraine has already impacted the supply of oil from Russia, which is the second largest producer of crude, when measured at the wellhead. Second, the OPEC plus cartel has decided not to pump any more oil than required by its existing quotas. The third is that American oil companies, and the investors who fund them, have stopped investing in the ability to extract more oil; what they call 'putting money in the ground'. Instead they've been exercising what Wall Street likes to call 'capital discipline', which means diverting money to shareholders in various ways, and being punished when they don't. This was understandable in the midst of the pandemic, when oil prices went to zero and investors got bludgeoned, but with oil now brimming at a hundred bucks a barrel, you'd think these companies would be pumping like mad. And yet, they are not. https://www.npr.org/sections/money/...-futures-market-has-clogged-americas-oil-pump
Why cherry pick and misrepresent???? If you look at the other part of the article and follow the link here's what it tells you: https://www.cnn.com/2022/03/02/energy/us-oil-production/index.html This is why @deb4rockets calls people like you brainwashed. Do you see how it works? You only see what you want to see ignoring the facts that are inconvenient to you.
Is the slowing of news Good news? Bad news? or just No news? It seems like that caravan north of Kyiv was stopped, there will be no sea-based invasion of Odessa for now, and Ukrainians are making succesful counter-offensives. But the other view is that Russians have occupied two nuclear plants, damaging at least one, are indiscriminately shelling and launching rockets at both civilians and their homes, have nearly destroyed at least two cities, and Kyiv is almost surrounded and will be next. Russians say "we will have a cease fire to let out civilians" and then fire on the civilians. I don't want to overdose on hopium, but Twitter has me thinking that Ukraine can pull this out but my brain and gut says that Putin's Russia will turn Ukraine to dust then accept their invasion was poorly done, their equipment is crap, and Russia's economy will both be thrown 30 years back with half the population but also have all western goods from its markets gone when it re-opens. If any party can gain from Putin's mess in Russia, it'd be the communists ironically. World War II lasted 6 years and over 75 million died, mostly civilians. I don't want to re-live that, but I also do not accept the end of western liberal order by an autocrat from the Grand Duchy of Moscow. If I had a time machine, I'd go back to the 90s and stay there.
Is it real or is it fake? I'm skeptical anytime something starts with "my friend is one of the top at whatever and has done whatever for the #1 company in the world says"
No, I am not suggesting anything. My point was very clearly and concisely written and is to be interpreted as such. There is no other allusion or unspoken points to be found here.
Wow! Strike a nerve? Truth hurts. The message was great, and my point was to listen to what he says. Fox News is so much like Russian propaganda. People get brainwashed and misinformed, and he warns about the dangers of what that does. Jan 6th ring a bell?
@basso loves to post these random twitter pricks, I'm gonna just start skipping over his retweets since I don't know who the **** these people tweeting are and they aren't even verified.
It's a good thing Trump and Saudi both hate WaPo journalists, or he'd have to look like an awkard, fat, and incredibly incompetent pathological liar!
People also seem to forget we are barely a net exporter. We export about 7.2 million barrels of petroleum products and import about 6.8 million. That is a combination of crude oil and all petroleum products. I'm not going to get into why we import and export. There is a great deal of minutiae in involved. The simplest is the type of oil, but there are many more. Also, there are 35 billion barrels in proved oil reserves that companies have the ability to drill on right now. Guess when our imports of Russian oil increased. I'll tell you. When Trump put sanctions on Venezuela.
