https://www.news.com.au/finance/eco...t/news-story/7394f3e24dca89039de5ebfe24503c6c These predictions in 2015 from Stratfor are eerily familiar 7 years later. 3. RUSSIA AS WE KNOW IT ‘WON’T EXIST’ The next decade will see Russia “seeking to secure itself” before economic decline hits, Stratfor warn as it continues to act aggressively in the region. Seeing itself under the gun, it will appear even more aggressive and territorial as it continues to exert its power internally and externally, but it will come at a cost. “Russia will also seek to reintegrate the former Soviet republics into some coherent entity in order to delay its demographic problems, expand its market and above all reabsorb some territorial buffers,” the forecast predicts. Such action will make its neighbours anxious both in terms of national security and rapidly shifting economic policies. Rising military cost, declining oil prices and internal issues will all weaken Russia further with its inability to control the federation creating a vacuum. While Russia won’t split up as such, Moscow’s influence will weaken significantly, which in turn will create a raft of semi autonomous regions. “We expect Moscow’s authority to weaken substantially, leading to the formal and informal fragmentation of Russia,” the report warns. “It is unlikely that the Russian Federation will survive in its current form.” Countries including Poland, Hungary and Romania will also look to recover territory gained by Russia throughout various times in history.
You need to ask Traitor Ted Cruz that question. He sure as hell ignores that fact when he blames Biden for everything.
You don't support a NATO no-fly zone? It sure seemed like you did, but I admit I don't know if you actually advocated it or were just suggesting it as an option.
The oil question is simple, there is a cost to getting oil and it is not economically feasible to get at all of it, unless the price of a barrel of oil is high enough. Opec has kept the costs lower so that it is not economical for us to get at the oil we have available. But once it hits $100 a barrel it makes sense, so I suspect the oil companies will be ramping up US drilling as a result if the oil prices stay high. DD
No, I don't. I might have asked the question as to whether we should....but I don't think we should do that NOW - but we should be ramping up our presence there if we need to do that in the future. They don't need a NO FLY zone yet.....the skies are still up for grabs......Russia does not have air superiority yet......what folks don't talk about is the western half of the Ukraine is entirely untouched for the most part......they still have air bases to fly from....this war is strange...it looks to me like Putin really wants the Southern bit and would like to take the capital as a 2ndary objective. DD
I always wonder that about the GOP when they echo Trump's propaganda and lies. I think Trump is just as dangerous because he lives in a make believe world where he can and will do and say anything to get into office again, and that includes siding with the devil himself while holding a bible as a con move to fool his following.
What if Putin is doing this to help Trump get elected? Or he knows it will help and is part of his overall larger strategy? DD
Putin would LOVE to have a puppet dictator like Trump making policies in his favor again. Guys like Putin LOVE guys like Trump who can be bought and manipulated easily to do their dirty work.
All the more reason to up pressure with the sanctions. Boycott products containing wheat from countries (China & Pakistan) who have announced trade deals with Russia for that commodity. Boycott Unionpay. Bring it forward.
This has to be from the Babylon Bee or something. I have heard that idiot same some stupid stuff, but damn. Next is he going to want us to paint big red stars on nukes?
I thought that was already known. Not that it was his motivation for invading but waiting till he was no longer in the office where he could continue to weaken our allies. He tried to blackmail Ukraine to just mention a possible Biden investigation in the hope for a bump in votes. I would be shocked if he hasn't called putin to congratulate him on a successful invasion.
I doubt this is the road Putin would take to get Trump re-elected. More likely, this is the road he took because Trump failed to break up NATO as Putin hoped he would do and he failed to get re-elected and become a tyrant like he hoped. Therefore he went for the most desperate play - invading Ukraine. Yes we should shore up our defenses. It hasn't gone according to plan that's for sure. And Putin is in a tough tough spot. He can win in Ukraine, but win what? And at what cost?
You just exposed yourself again. You don’t understand anything outside of your PlayStation controller. Stick to life there, or log into your other alt to back yourself up lmao

Negotiations are the only sane possibility. Putin stops and withdraws. Direct negotiation between The United States and Russia perhaps even with China who has Russia's back. Agree that Ukraine will be neutral like Finland. Does Putin get some face saving? Yes. Finland neutrality might not be the dream of Ukraine right now but it would be much better than turning Ukraine into Syria. NATO which literally is a puppet of the US would not be helpful. As shown for instance in Grozny where Putin and the Russians carpet bombed and killed by tens of thousand after Chechnya put up more resistance than expected should be kept in mind. Keeping the war going with US weapons with the thought that it would eventually lead to the overthrow of Putin is no guarantee. According to many experts the Russian, too, may very well rally around the flag when they see their country being insulted and punished by sanctions
Putin said yesterday sanctions are akin to a declaration of war. For some reason Putin seems to be actively trying to get NATO drawn into a shooting war
Tonight is going to be bloody. Go to the Twitter account seems like a massive air assault is taking place
