I have grown to HATE how Christian Wood plays basketball.

    What’s yall’s favorite C-Wood #35 moves?

    1. Somehow falling over or nudged out the way in the paint by other bigs and giving up an offensive rebound

    2. Not running out to guard a perimeter shooter but staying back too deep not jumping and only to put his hand up couple feet away from the shooter.

    3. Selfishly jacking up a 3 or iso himself on post taking on 3 defenders in critical moments

I would like to see Wood on a good team to see of he actually can even be on one? A lot of his bad habits (try to be the point guard, ball stopper, get lost in switches) are going to hurt teams that have real superstars and title hopes.

I think he can be good with Warriors or a stacked team. His role wouldn’t require too much. But he would have to change his habits of holding the ball and either spot up shoot, post or drive quickly. No more holding the ball. No more trying to drive to create. His role would need to change.

Sure Wood is currently the best player on the team. For whatever that’s worth. I didn’t say anything about benching him. Is it entirely his fault he continually plays the exact same way while making the exact same mistakes? Yes? I don’t know. Maybe Silas wants him to continue to bring the ball up and set half ass screens.

Experimenting is coach’s word. We can substitute development instead. But you’re right maybe that is on management more than him.

I had to chuckle, coaching? Wood will only do what Wood is aloud to do. If Silas had structure then a lot of players and things would be different. Wood plays the way he does because Silas lets him. Wood is the coach’s pick by default because Silas is a player’s coach with out players. When Wall or Gordon play Silas acts like their best friend, too.

I’d love to trade Wood and give Sengun his minutes. I’m going to assume Alpi ends up the better player but he hasn’t done anything yet. Get off the nuts.

Christian Wood is actually delusional. Should we go easier on him knowing he has a disability? Top 5 huh?

That was the best Wood game I remember in recent memory. 120% effort on defense, totally shut down Ja a bunch of times at the rim. Cradled a bunch of tough rebounds over Adams.

Made most of his free throws, let Green and KPJ do their thing without demanding the ball down the stretch, and hit some key 3's. 10/10

Seriously how is the mysterious Christian Wood disappearance not getting more attention? Okay well I can hear the snarky replies to that question. And it’s not like he’s been a huge difference-maker, but isn’t anyone else a little interested to know if he had another “incident” and is now persona non grata. ie we don’t have to worry about him being on the team next year? I’m so ready to turn the page on this guy. What a massive value decline since he was signed in 2020. And given all of the moves we didn’t make out of concern about fit with Wood it’s all the more tragic, and a real lesson in poor asset management.

Yeah i dunno. I would have traded him long ago personally. I am starting to think they are going all in on free agency in 2023 and want everything off the books.

They say he has a “non COVID illness”, but the way this team lies about that kind of thing I’m a little curious myself. It could go either way, but my guess is that he’s actually not feeling well. Who knows?

there was someone on this board that insinuated he got drunk the night before the Miami game and was too hung over to play. Not sure if he had inside info or if it was speculation. Also Hollins and Ackerman alluded to something like that during the Miami game broadcast. He hasn’t been heard from since; something fishy is going on.

Who cares. Hope he stays out. Just want more minutes for the young guys.

I think it's getting tricky to lose games since the rookies got better. My instinct is that they will rotate the vets in and out of the lineup (Wood/Gordon/Schroeder) to ensure we aim for the top pick. That's why the rookies have been getting more minutes, which is great.

Lol that may have been me, I stated he caught the away game in Miami flu when they said he was ill. Completely said in jest, not inside info. Considering what happened last year to Sterling Brown and KPJ in Miami with being assaulted at a strip club, anything is possible when you have guaranteed NBA money, get thrown in Miami and are on a team that is trying to lose.

The ironic thing is that he was coming off his best game of the year in Memphis. Then nothing. “And just like that, he was gone”.

“The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was making people believe he didn’t exist”
