Being a lockdown defender at the 3/4/5 plus elite 3pt shooting is so so so much long term value already from Jabari. The only way I see us going another direction is if we believe in their primes Chet or Banchero can average 30+ points and 6+ assists and NOT unplayable defensively against SG/SF's. That becomes intriguing. I feel like Sengun/Jabari/Green could be special though.
I truly don't think you could go wrong with either chet or jabari. They both will have a huge impact on the defense just in different ways. Jabari with his superb switch defending ability gives you draymond "potential" with better offense and Chet with his shot block and help defense gives you gobert "potential" with a 3pt shot. Both potentials are fantastic in a different way. The tournament is going to tell us a lot tho.
I think green coming up huge down the stretch for a win against one of the best is better than the loss
agreed. that experience will do wonders for his confidence and development. at this point its important not to win too many games, but if Jalen can lead the team to a win you have to be happy about that. I'm not interested in winning as many games as wood/gordon/tate/schroder can win for us. I'm interested in winning as many games as green/sengun/gup can win for us. and tonight was one of those.
