Harris is averaging 18 shooting 48% and 35% from 3 how is that not a good NBA player. Edit I missed where you said at the moment.
Harden has underwhelmed in the playoffs when compared to his regular season stats but he's not a complete risk/liability. More often than not, Harden actually goes HAM at the beginning of the playoff series and then tapers off. If that happens he has Embiid to fall back on (and probably also Harris and Maxey). Since he got out of OKC there's been only two playoff series where he averaged less than 25 points a game-- the San Antonio series with the concussion conspiracy theory and last year's series vs the Bucks when he was playing with one good hammy. Otherwise you can pencil him in for 25 a night. It might come with less efficiency but Harden will still get you the points, which is something Simmons could never do.
I don't think the poster is saying he's been an overall bad NBA player...just that he hasn't looked good since the Harden trade. He's averaging 11/5/2 since the Harden trade, shooting 36% from the field and 43% from 3. Those aren't exactly great numbers, but someone always has to take a hit when a superstar is added to your team. Whereas Maxey looks even better now, Harris is still trying to figure out his role. It's like when Klay came back for the Warriors and Poole's numbers dipped. Someone always takes a hit, either to his minutes or his stats, or both.
yeah harden will shoot you out of game...hes in love with shooting 3s hot or cold it doesn't matter to him... his shot selection leaves a lot to be desired...and no midrange? are you kiddin me?! it will be a true miracle if philly wins it all...
Sixers came from 24 points down tonight . That was insane. Maxey is a monster . His third quarter was intense. The fourth was harden, Embiid and Niang took over
Harden is an elite basketball player that no one likes. That's why he gets picked last at the all star game. He's an incredibly talented player that will lead you to 2nd in the conference finals only to quit in game 7 when there is a little adversity and things are not going his way. He's soft, and he'll fold like always when it counts.
Unsure if anyone on the court has more fun out there than Maxey. Kid's gotta be over the moon playing alongside Jim.
Maxey is really fun to watch and he’s only gonna get better. One of his flaws out of college was that he couldn’t shoot the three well and he’s definitely worked on that while solidifying his mid-range shot and is able to hit his floaters on a consistent basis. Him and Ja are my favorite players right now.
Harden’s 1st 4 games with Philly 27 points on 12 shot attempts 12!!! 8 boards, 12 assists, just 3 turnovers and 59/50/90 shootings splits with 80% TS and a usage rate of just 23% team has a 130 offensive rating with him on the court and a 106 defensive rating
Imagine, Harden carried Westbrook to the 2nd round of playoffs. Lebron James is at risk of missing out of the play in game. Harden will fit in with any player because he is that damn good. The disrespect in these forums is through the roof. Those individuals act like we got Tmac type performances, always choking in the 1st round. 2 WCFs, 3 WCSFs, and a couple of 1st round exits. Hope those fools are enjoying watching Silas and Co **** show.
Westbrook also had what was his easily his best season since his MVP year playing next to Harden…1 of his most efficient seasons too Kyrie was 50-40-90 playing next to Harden he’s unlocked Maxey, and Embiid is saying he’s never been so wide open in his life Chandler Parsons just said playing with Harden was the easiest time of his life in the NBA Harden gets this rep of being hard to play with, but everybody eats when they’re on his team Philly became the best offensive team in the league overnight
i hope so...i enjoy how the suns take advantage of that easy shot...its a wonderful floor spacer, a huge energy conserver and injury avoider...its like a free free throws but comprised in a single shot...and it keeps defenders on their heels and guessing when you drive or dribble penetrate cause you might pull up any moment at any given spot...... i already envision opponents game planning and running him off of 3 pt line in the playoffs forcing him to middy area and refs swallowing whistles on the drives... thats when hell start forcing stepback 3s and it wont be falling, because tired legs, injury, being cold, and thats when hell regret not practicing midrange in regular season sacrificing a little efficiency for added versatility....
