What about the useful idiots who recite Putin apologist talking points? The world should just mind their business, buy our oil, let us commit mass murder, and let us have a country because over 100 years ago it was taken by the Soviet Union… - Am I doing it right?

Of course Ukraine is using propaganda to their own effect. The main purpose is morale of their own people though. They know NATO can’t engage Russia directly and say as much. They ask for ammunition more than anything. They do ask for a no fly zone which Biden has refused to enact because it would lead to conflict. So you are saying here that you support Biden refusing that request I assume??

It’s also about as ignorant as you can be to actually sit here and say Vladimir Putin does not want to and has not attempted to assassinate Zelensky. You have to be the most naive person in the world to think Putin is somehow above that.

While I think most people worldwide hope Putin was no longer in power, having someone officially connected with the United States government calling for the assassination of another country's leader doesn't sound like the smartest thing to do. One it probably motivates some Russian people to support putin more (and I suspect putin will play to that, and two it probably causes putin to even more crazy in his own paranoid way.

Exactly. It gives Russian state media propaganda to rally support for Putin and have an adverse effect on the goals of the Biden admin… which is to choke out support domestically for Putin via economics. More evidence Republicans just engage in nonstop sabotage for political gain.

Karabakh has also been the focal point of a conflict that's been going on pretty much since the fall of the Soviet Union between Azerbaijan and Armenia. Russia has been tacitly backing Armenia in that conflict while Turkey and Iran and have been helping Azerbaijan. This is yet another thing that could cause the war in Ukraine to spill into other countries..

Graham has shown his biggest interest is whatever side of an issue get's him the most attention and political support. It's laughable to hear him talk about assassinating anyone when he doesn't even have the spine to oppose someone who he called a "racist" and "a kook". Who he said on Jan. 6th he was done supporting but just weeks later was praising.

I think we do need to be clear eyed that Ukraine and other Eastern European countries have had Neo-Nazi and fascist groups in the their country. They have long had problems with racism and anti-Semitism. Some of those videos coming out from the lead up to the invasion of civilian militias were Nationalist groups with fascist leanings.

Unfortunately that is part of Ukraine and many other countries. But those people don't control the government. Zelensky is Jewish and was democratically elected. To claim that his government is run by Nazis makes no sense on the surface.

Also Russia also has Fascist groups and it's own problems with racism and anti-Semitism. Under the basis of "De-Nazification" Ukraine could've made the same claim if they invaded Russia.

Now it's propaganda? You've been fooled the past 6 years and still keep digging yourself further down with that shovel...you have zero credibility.

Putin is already extremely paranoid. He sits 30 feet away from his own generals and advisors because he's scared of being assassinated.

In terms of a US official calling - sure, it's probably not a good thing. Is it harmful and does it rally people around Putin? 2 years ago, if Olag Gorovsky in the Russian parliament suggested someone in the US assassinate Trump, would you or anyone you know say "hey, I support Trump now" ?

Half of Americans don't know who Lindsey Graham is. I doubt many people in Russia know or care. And a chunk of people probably agree with him, given that there are protests all over the country despite draconian anti-protest laws.

Yea, we know this. Falling for this "de-nazi" propaganda seems to be pretty common in Russia.

Not surprised that some Trump supporters and pro-Putin Americans are falling for the same. What's a bit interesting is the timing... as if something just spread through extreme right-wing social media to wake these folks up.

The fact that Zelensky is Jewish doesn't matter. It shows the the power of propaganda and the blindness of being part of a cult-like culture.
