I think a lot of people are afraid of someone so different than them. It's not until they actually get immersed with other cultures that they learn how much they really do have in common. That's why immersion is so important.

People learn that the hate they grew up learning from racist parents, or the fear of the unknown from living in a place where everyone around them was the same can change. It's not just Caucasians either. You see people of all races forming communities of their own culture all over America. As long as we respect each other and accept each other we can grow stronger as a nation. Division is never a good thing.

This never should have happened and did not need to happen. The West is not going to stand down on there priorities here - period. What Putin and Russia are doing is escalating the situation and not doing what will ultimately be required to resolve it. Their imagination of the workings of the current international order are wrong and the first thing they need to do is to accept that.

They think that we live in a Russia based order, with them making the rules (but not following them), which they can dictate to others, including major world powers like the West, based on their whim and without consideration for the interests of those other powers.

To complain about Biden no matter what he does. I can't get a logical answer out of any of them

Wow. I'm not sure I understand your position any better. Perhaps I found that I'd underestimated your deep hatred for the globalist elites in the US. As much as I hate Trump, if this war broke out during his administration I don't think I would find myself saying it was more important to undermine Trump than it is to find the best resolution to the Ukraine conflict. I'm sure I'd have no confidence in Trump to find it, and any solution he hit upon would probably strike me as suspicious, but I wouldn't be rooting for failure. That's next level stuff.

As a moderate Republican I’m going to do my best not to needlessly bicker with my Democrat friends or even the weird progressives during the Ukraine issue. The beauty of the USA is we have different views and we all bring something to the table that is unique. Individualism is at threat by Putin. Individualism and private ownership is what makes us great and what the people of Ukraine want

How does the fact our gov't lets more brown refugees than white refugees show that culturally we aren't biased in how we feel?

To be fair, it's a tough issue with no good answers and have potential and lasting consequences. I get the posturing and complaining sucks and I'll likely respond with a snarky response in the future on this same thread.

This is just a medium for us all to pretend to know way more than we do and maybe possibly hopefully learn a useful and valid thing or two about the issue.

I have no idea what that question has to do with anything and how it is relevant to what is happening in Ukraine currently.

People are biased and racist of all colors, what's your point?

What? Are you serious? Radical domestic right hate groups like the KKK and other White supremacist groups that take pride in hanging blacks or dragging them behind a pickup truck to their death don't concern you more? Hate groups that kill gays or transgenders for fun don't scare you more? GOP politicians attending and speaking at White supremacist rallies don't bother you more than people simply wanting to be treated as equals?

That says a lot in my eyes.

Who voted against condemning the totalitarian dictator Putin again? Was it the far left? No it was the far right you seem to idolize. Trump which tried to over turn the election. Again who is totalitarian in this?

So you are saying the Jews are behind this plan to?? Really? That is far from that. There is military ties with Russia in the Middle East. They need continued access to Syria air space to go after threats.

We are all afterthoughts when it comes to war and peace.

Nothing we do on here matters.
