Right but the Saints cutting him later doesn't make the trade look better. They are cutting him because of their own cap issues, not bc he's a bad player.
I guess, I mean sure from their perspective it looks worse, but it's just worse for them, not better for us. That pick isn't changing. It was a fair trade at the time and a fair one now. I just can't look at it like him being cut is an extra notch on Caserio's belt.
New OL coach…mostly believes that tackles are tackles and guards are guards. No more Su'a-Filo trying to learn every position. No more sticking Howard inside when he is clearly a tackle. I like it.
I am continually amazed that John Lopez still has an outlet for his "journalism" after all 2+ decades of laughable dumbassery.
If they can get clarity on Watson sooner rather than later they can make a run at 2 or 3 big free agents and really get this rebuild going.
+ Based on him only having to depositions in 9 of the cases this thing won't be over anytime soon. I guess so much for Rusty Hardin's claims that Watson will be cleared of any wrongdoing.
I don’t think Caserio big game hunting until he has his “long term” coach in hand. Think we’ll see him go for singles and doubles for at least another year.
Please get two of these backs so we don’t have to worry about running the ball like Lovie wants to do. FA: Melvin Gordon III Lenny Fournette Sony Michel James Connor Jerick McKinnon Chase Edmonds If you want to spend draft capital on making this defense elite, spend the money to land not one but two of these running backs. Similar to the Bengals approach. Like please, show you know how to execute a plan. I/We don’t want to see some DJ retread or Burkhead running for 2 yards two straight plays.
