I think it is relative. He is obviously being played out of position. I don't expect him to distribute like a PG. I think as a wing or secondary playmaker he had a great game. Had quite a few nice dimes working the PnR alone. You're right if we are grading him as the number one playmaker. It's not his fault the Rockets are forcing this on him. Hopefully next year we pick up a true veteran PG.
Because those posters rely on their eye test. But they wear prescription glasses. And Scoot could have easily had +15 AST tonight.
KPJ as a SF with guard skills would be great. I dont want him to be the PG. and start KJ. let Tate do what ever the hell he wants as the backup he is a black hole and he cant help it. Love the hustle and effort but he wants the ball way too much.
These complaints on a night where he picked up 12 assists are just bizarre. Chris Paul only managed 5 the last time he played the Jazz, I guess he wasn't a real PG that night.
Honestly, just play Jalen Green by himself vs the other team. Ensure he gets 40 or 50 shot attempts and 100% of the touches so that his godawful cult will stop whining.
It really doesn't matter who it is. When a player has it going you find ways to keep feeding them the ball and putting them in scoring situations. That's on the coach and pg. This is how guys carry teams to wins with 50 point performances. The way green played he shouldn't have been ignored for entire stretches. However many shots he had he should've had 8-10 more.
Or just trade JG for Aaron Gordon and a FRP amirite? You pretended for quite a long time that you actually want JG to succeed but it looks like you're drifting off into bobby's "I'd rather be right than the rockets be good" territory. JG was better than KPJ tonight and it wasn't close. KPJ should still start as PG as we have nothing to lose.
When a players hot as fk. He needs more shots. "Green is leading in shot attempts, y does he need more?" When u have a player that hot only lead by 2 more attempts than the n3xt guy. Thats just straight up poor offense plan. u feed the guy thats on fire. Thats basketball 101
Wood was +7 tonight. And 57% from 3P. Hit shot that tied game and sent it to OT. The complaints towards him tonight are just ridiculous.
I don't think anyone has "harped" on Green tonight, he had a good game, it's his cult that is terrible.
I feel it’s very hard for players to get 40+ pts under coached by Silas, even for those all star players. They won’t feed you ball if your shots are hot. Tate/Mathews/Wood will shoot at will.
False, most of Jalens offense comes from his own creation including tonight. Besides the fast break buckets Jalen had to create in order to get the points he scored. You can't just say things when there are numbers and film. Facts > feelings. He was not being put into prime position to get buckets. And even on the two obvious fast break passes he got, it took two incredible finishes by him.
Green was Rockets most efficient player tonight. He was a net positive when on floor. Other Rockets who were net positives were: Wood Mathews KPJ *Sengun (-2) 3P% killers tonight: Nwaba (66%) Tate (60%) Wood (57%) KJ (50%) Green (44%) Mathews (37%)
Not harping on Green at all. Loved his game tonight. Only said he needs to be more selfish, shoot more.
I'd consider any trade. If Rockets were smart, they would too. This team as currently composed is the worst in the NBA.
