Still, it's not like you retaliated in violence or felt a violent impulse to defend your girl who had a legit disease. I guess I had to be there to understand what it takes to swing at someone who looks like they're 60-70 yrs old.

I dunno, maybe the dark theater didn't help things or the girlfriend's testimony shed more details on the scuffle.

No doubt the guy should have just walked away. But we're macho here in the US of A especially FL and especially in a movie about military heroes.

Not at the expense of 30 minutes of my life.

I'm hard pressed to accept this is legit self defense. I'm more inclined to believe that Florida's self defense law is far too permissive regarding what you can do in a confrontation.

    TLDW:

Point 1: Oulson hit Reeves in the face with a cell phone.
Point 2: Florida allows lethal force against someone committing a felony. In Florida, assaulting someone over 65 is a felony.

Bump the speed up. It's a good watch, and you can 'listen' to it, too.

2x sounds crazy at first, but once you get used to it from 1.5, you save so much time.

I find that a lot of songs are better (IMO) at higher speeds, too. For example, Beastie Boys Looking Down the Barrel of a Gun is much better (again IMO) at 1.25x.
