Kim Reynolds’ response is much worse. It’s wooden and she keeps onlooking off camera. It’s clearly a a speech that isn’t a direct response to what was in the SOTU but written days ago with no direct response to the SOTU.
Im watching the stream in bits, but lower prices, not wages makes no sense, esp if goods are made domestically (assuming the supply chain returns to pre covid lvls). Let's say the dollar supply remains inflated (like if other countries don't also print more) our goods will be more expensive as exports than what we're bringing in from imports. It's already happening as our trade deficit is the highest its been in three years. I guess it can make sense if boomers stay retired AND employers pay market clearing wages (which would eliminate the "worker shortage"), but once the supply chain returns to previous levels, wages will begin to erode again as corporations look to justify their stock buybacks thru offshoring again
Reynolds’ is giving what will be the primary GOP rhetoric line. They are standing up for parents. following Glenn Youngkins victory they are going to focus heavily on that they are for parents.
So you were ok with her looking off screen as though she was distracted by something? Did you think it was a particularly energetic speech from Reynolds? Or at the end she pretty much saying the exact same thing as Biden? Never mind that you referred to Biden as “your guy” pretty much says all I need to know.
Gonna end the silly mandates that “divide”? “Our patience is wearing thin!” “We are looking at a winter of severe illness and death for the unvaccinated, for themselves, their families and the hospitals they’ll soon overwhelm.” Same guy who pushed OSHA mandates? “Why can’t we just all get along now fellow Americans?”
