Don't like either side here in their rhetoric. A sharp rise in crime isn't due to a lack of police. It's due to changes in socioeconomic conditions. Maybe look into those conditions to solve crime?

It's a combination of loose gun laws underfunded police, mental health and poverty. The GOP only worries about keeping guns on the streets. They blow off the police, the mentally ill and the poor.

The GOP worship the police. Don't be fooled by them not supporting the Capitol police. It has no bearing on their abject support of police militarism in poor minority communities.

They sure are massively efficient, considering IF they are underfunded, arresting people which eventually leads to incarceration as we have the highest incarceration on the planet.

We will see the state at the State of the Union. When the President talks about standing against aggression and the attack on a Democracy from a Nation opposed to Democracy, will they applaud/stand or will they choose the side of anti-Democracy forces. That will speak volumes about the state of the Republican party.

In general it looked like almost all
Of the Republicans did applaud on Ukraine and even on the steps that Biden was taking to oppose Putin.

I was reading earlier that McCarthy and other GOP leaders told members that they should be showing support of Ukraine during the SOTU.

Yes. It was very positive to see members of both parties support Ukraine. I think it was a positive sign.

Disrespectful white trash. They don't do a damn thing useful, and are getting paid to serve our country. Why has the GOP regressed to voting in worthless disrespectful newbies like this? They can do better, and should!

Even if he did, and she was cheering inside, she wouldn't acknowledge agreeing with him. She makes a living voting down anything he proposes and gets off on it.

They continue to disgrace the congress... looking at the looks on the republicans around them when they heckled the President tells you more about the state of the republican party...

To be fair they are the outliers at this point. But the fact that the Republican Party doesn't take more action against them is also telling.
