WHAT A DOMINATION... that basket to end the half is the best basket i have ever seen probably...caught a full court inbound pass on the baseline and hits a 17-19 footer while still in the air ...
you had to do it did you? and i already deleted that mistake before your post...why didnt you refresh the server to give me benefit of the doubt?
The grizzlies only tanked 1 year, the year that they drafted Jaren Jackson Jr. They still had Marc Gasol and Mike Conley when the grizzlies surprisingly won the draft to be able to draft Ja Morant. They traded Marc at the dead line and then they traded Mike when they drafted Ja. The grizzlies drafted Dillon Brooks in the second round. But other than getting lucky with the Ja draft, the grizzlies have been making winning decisions for at least 5 years. Zach kleinman and tayshaun Prince have been winning trade exchanges against anyone who dares make a trade with them. The grizzlies have so much draft capital at this point that it would be a real shock if the grizzlies do not win a championship or two or three with this group as fast as this team has been growing. What is really surprising is that the grizzlies are one of the best defensive teams in the league right now but that's because jaron Jackson Jr is probably one of the best defensive players that I've seen that's that tall since Hakeem olajuwon the dude is bad to the bone on defense.
That is actually a good analysis. Once Chris Paul, LBJ and Curry are gone, the Wild West is all Morant's. Luka lacks that defensive grit.
I don't think Ja looks at anyone in the league as who he has to wait for to get old or retire for it to be his time. Ja has a chip on his shoulder as large as Texas and the fact that he feels disrespected and it began even before he got into the league: only getting one d1 scholarship, getting drafted 2nd, not getting into the allstar game last year, having the grizzlies nationality-televised game getting bumped for New York Knicks, the grizzlies do a lot of talking and have already said that if you don't like it, too damn bad. Ja hasa team around him already: Desmond Bane has already pissed Lebron off, he said that the lakers tried to come in and punk them and that caused some bad blood. The grizzlies already beat them like a stepchild three times this year. The grizzlies already knocked curry and the warriors out of the playoffs last year. The suns and Booker and the Grizzlies and Ja will be going at it for ships I think. The suns have a hell of a lot of talent on that team. The other teams: such as Dallas don't have a good enough team around Luka, and Denver and Utah is getting old.
In fact the only issue the suns have is at the point guard spot because Chris Paul will not be there forever. If I were the suns, I'd be trying to get Tyus Jones in free agency. As a grizz fan, I don't want to lose him, but certainly don't want to lose him to the suns.
I think the suns are going to be hard to beat with or without Chris Paul. As for the grizzlies, I don't want to get my hopes up because they are so young and the fact that the grizzlies just got bounced last year by the Jazz. I would not be surprised if the Jazz won't make a run if Chris Paul can't get back, but don't be surprised if the grizzlies don't get to the finals. The grizzlies are a damn good team and remember this the grizzlies were 9-10 at one point and they have won 30+ games to only 10 loses, they have a better record on the road than they do at home, they are in top 10 on offense and defense and it is not based on hitting threes, but on offensive rebounding, block shots and steals. Like I said, I want to temper my expectations, but the grizzlies aren't where they are at by accident.
Yep. I know Jalen looks up to him and they dap and such at games. I just hope that (and especially after he sees his jump in production lately) that Jalen will really try to pick Ja's brain this offseason. But even more than that I wish/hope Ja's drive would rub off on him!
