nothing to look forward to until next year(if we get a top 3 pick) going forward every game could be a lose hopefully its because we play the magic again.

Reporter: "(on HOU), what makes you play so well down there?:

Zubac: "...I wish I can play like this every game, not just HOU or anything. Me being locked in. Me being aggressive from the jump". (...being polite then kinda reveals it)

Zubac: "...but there's a little part of HOU switches 1 through 5. They put a small on me, I tried to punish those switches and I think I could have done a better job and go back and look at some film. and see how how I can be more effective those switches." (...reveals it... then goes back to being polite).

14 points (5/5 FG), 15 rebounds and 6 blocks. Including that clutch one at the one on Wood. Rocket's switching defense worked up to a point, but any team with a serviceable big can punish in mismatches. The blueprint has been out for a while. The opposing team confirms what we see in the eye test.

    bookmarked last question.

Reggie and Zu were big for them.

At this point Rocket is looking at lottery odds, but if next year is supposed to be the year where things start to turn around, Stone has some work cut out for him in personnel. When switching stops working, Rockets need to be able to do other things.

Maybe Garuba can heal up, and show he can play in NBA's game and fill that defensive hole. Maybe we'll luck into a top 2 pick for a defensive big.

Mathews plays 10 more minutes and this game is an easy win.

Or Sengun with 10 more minutes and this game is easy win.

All the players with +30 mins were the least effective especially in the 4th.

The final quarter was another Silas special.

    Close one!

We can't afford to be stealing games when we are so close to the top seed.

Christopher has been straight up garbage for most of the last 7 games. I don’t know if he has hit the wall or has his feelings hurt over the Schroder trade or something, but he doesn’t look right at all lately.

Gary Bird's non-contact, left foot/ankle blow-out was scary. I thought it was his Achilles. I wonder what the heck that was...

then you fire him.... you fire him...we gonna tank forever at this pace...our young players gonna get minutes crucial for development only when its their turn to be traded away...lolololol its a vicious circle
tanking is pointless and top picks are useless... if you know what youre doing you dont need them, if you dont, top picks will be of no use to you...

At this point, the pre game meme fest is more exciting than the actual game.

Tanking is absolutely not "pointless", it's the easiest way to add top tier talent to your team.

It's not guaranteed to work, but it's the most foolproof method for building a team quickly.

While you are tanking, you employ a worthless coach that you dispose of after a few years once you've collected the right players.

not sure how the org doesnt understand playing time is everything.....
playing 35 minutes a night in g league beats 12 minutes a night in nba development wise ...

Yeah, it's been a bit disappointing. Pulling for him to get out of his funk.

Games like last night are actually pretty encouraging to me. We played toe to toe with these guys.

I don't worry too much about the losing as we aren't expected to compete, but we do.

It's primarily youthful ignorance, consistency, Wood, and Silas holding us back.

The thing is, I think we'd still lose. But at least we'd give our rookie real minutes and an opportunity to hone his skills, improve defensively, etc. Right now he's not getting any of that.
