Here's stats for TS%, ppg, RPG, and APR versus the last x amount of games played. These graphs are backwards looking to identify if there has been improvement in play. Mobley has been the most consistent throughout the year, and is the better rebounder, but Green has been shoving scoring-wise lately. Hoping this is improvement, and not just a hot streak.
Not sure about Aaron Gordon. But I'm sure he'd trade the whole team and their kitchen sinks for Mobley.
Age without strength, physicality or a bigger bag means nothing. You are obviously missing the point.
Sure. Will we? Probably not as the data besides last game will basically show the same story. The data is on basketball reference and is easy to calculate. I doubt you are willing to do the work to show that Green has a bad game, but that the trend that he's been a better scorer lately is still intact.
did he get blocked or did zubac get away with something ? green getting rookie treatment ? green adding power over the summer ? I like green. scoring potential is coming together a bit. His shot is very important
Once he figures out how to **** it back from a slightly better angle and lengthen the **** back he’ll be on. This that Ja phase where he couldn’t catch a body for the first 2 years but he tried everybody.
Nah, I just think it was a bad decision to try and throw one down on such a good shot blocker, he got Wood cleanly too. If he does the same on a lesser shot blocker, he gets it or goes to the FT line.
Think he got blocked twice by Zubac and once by Hartenstein. They were all clean, maybe except for the last one by zubac who got all ball but had body contact.
kk , didnt watch until the 4th and only saw highlights , no replay anyways ... the power will help solve it . Hes inherently athletic and big ( height /wingspan wise ) enough to finish a decent percent at the rim. He also seems to have ok touch and coordination. Thats why i said his shot is very important . I dont see him as a rim-attacker first . Right now his best weapon, and the one he should hone is his shot . Then when that gets taken away , go to the basket. His handle isnt particularly devastating either The main thing is just his body. Hes not going to be able to be good in a self-creation environment until he can get people to bounce off of him a bit vs being thrown off balance by them. Having strength is an underrated part of being a guard nowadays . Think CP3, James, Lowry , Kawhi, luka .. etc , all are very strong. And if you arent... you get the ball ripped away like green has been . To me , green still has a very high ceiling ... something like a mix between derozan and trae young . He will figure it out Hes not that great right now ... but hes showing some major flashes . ... and he tries pretty hard on D most of the time . Getting stronger will help there too . I see why he was a top talent .. and even if we slightly screwed up ( meaning barnes or mobley etc have a higher WAR or VORP ) i still think hes got a shot to be the best player in 5 years ... now maybe that percent is 5-10 , but whatever you catch my drift.
You are the one missing the point it'll take time to build strength and he'll get it as he matures. He's only 19 he cant be hulk day 1 or he'll have ended up short af.
I'm ok with missing out on Mobley, yeah technically Rox did miss out on the superior talent but its hard to make that judgement call based on limited information. Mobley did turn out to be an amazing talent but he also could've been another Alexsej Pokusevski. Jalen was the lower risk pick at the time and the team did hedge by getting Sengun and Garuba.
