I see +/- only matters when it looks bad. He obviously was blocked about 10 times this game, other than that he had some good defensive plays and some nice plays overall that saved quite a lot of points for the rockets. Still progress in my book.
Well, getting cleanly blocked twice at the rim and going 2-10 from 3 is a solid place to start. To his credit, he had some really nice moments defensively tonight despite being a disaster offensively.
Against good middle defenders, he's pretty helpless on drives. But then again everyone and their moms got blocked tonight on the Rockets. I don't actually think he had a bad game on defense, rebounding, hustle, he had to chuck up a bunch of end of shot clock/quarter 3's.
It's pretty easy, you get blocked a bunch of times, take a bunch of tough 3's and brick most of them.
u can tell folks that says How the f do you go 4-18? after this game as a criticism really isn't watchin the game and just box score watching.
He had a bad shooting night but he also got blocked 3 times and had to throw up 3s at the end of the shot clock or buzzer 3 times with the only one that had any shot of going in being the one he threw up at the end of half
I am going to sound like a green apologist and I apologize for that (get it). He had a bad game, he shot bad and tried to posterize some people and then had a bad shooting night. But he was never in the flow of the offense. It seemed like Dennis, Tate, wood (ofcourse) and even Matthews had more opportunities then he did and that makes it hard for a scorer.to get in the flow especially on a bad shooting night
You actually watch the garbage product out there? I haven't watched an entire game since Harden was traded, maybe next year when we have a new coach (crossing fingers).
I actually enjoy watching certain parts of the game mainly when senguin and green are playing. Not caring if they win also makes the game more stress free to watch
Good job guys, the meltdown wasn't so bad this time haha. Clippers are a really good defensive team, that's why I knew it might take two tries for Jalen to figure them out. Some tape, some rest, some experience. Next game will be nice. He had the 3rd highest +/- on the team while shooting poorly, he did everything else well. They really need to take spacing more seriously though. Poor spacing means less driving opportunities and it doesn't make 3's any easier so you're at the mercy of standard fluctuations in your jumper.
Funny that he is virtually the biggest Green homeboy but does not give him any space to operate, has to comment on anything every game. I would want my hero player to have time to recreate and rest up. Greenie team, pay that boy!
