    [Educational Post]
Liberal policies across the world, but specifically in the United States, led to the invasion of Ukraine. Energy policies that lifted the price of oil & gas to high levels made us (and Germany) vulnerable, and gave Putin a window to act. Appeasement policies such as Joe Biden's comments in January about how he wouldn't respond to a "minor incursion" gave Putin the knowledge that America would not respond with force. The US government's failure to go after Russia's energy sector gave Putin the knowledge that he could survive this financially. Obama doing jack squat after Russia took Crimea led to this as well.

Time and again liberals prove that they cannot govern effectively. They manage with emotion and not logic. And now Ukrainians will be killed and have their families and lives disrupted in ways which we cannot begin to imagine. How can you not make things political when we warned you about all of these policies, yet you still did them, and now what we predicted actually happened. Our criticism is called accountability. It's a critical step in learning.

Accountability is not your thing. Got it. Most people naturally run away from it when they are as wrong as the American liberal has been in this case.

Better an American liberal than a Russian apologist.

Yeah he is the only person I have on ignore. I read d&d to be informed about different subjects that I personally don’t know much about. I’ve not only learned a bit here and there over the year. I have also got to hear people’s opinions that differ from my own.

Let’s just say I’m not getting any of that from that individuals posts haa

I’ve been saying that I’m not sure what Biden could’ve done better. This administration has the most out of what is a very constrained situation.

Yes, my concern is identifying the flawed thinking that led to an invasion of Ukraine... so that we avoid going down that road the next time. Call me crazy, but I prefer peace over war, and prosperity over suffering.

Must be a nightmare for you to have to share this country with the American liberal. May your misery come to an end soon.

Interesting that your first instinct is to blame America (but only when the Democrats are in charge). At least glynch is consistent, he blames America no matter what.

Unfortunately military action by the US at least for now appears to be a non starter. There isn’t the political will for it and Biden has said that such might lead to WW3.

This was a tough situation that I think the Administration had made the most of.

For all of Biden’s critics I’ve not heard anything that seem practical or relevant. As we see with just a on this page a lot of dredging up ideological grievances, revisionist history, to outright appeasement of Putin.

You are left with the unsavory debate option of having to distort, deflect, and distract to remain in the argument (the "3D fall back option"). Because your core beliefs have been proven to be wrong. Let me tell you that I take no joy in being right on this topic. Ukrainians are suffering because of failed liberal policies and a very weak leader in Joseph Robinette Biden. You should hang your head in shame that the policies that you promoted are now leading to suffering and devastation in Ukraine.

That's most laughable bullshit you have ever stated. Someone who is interested in critical thinking and getting to the answer of something doesn't go on a message board and just rant about how awful liberals are. Now that's what is called "flawed thinking"

You have never once engaged in a meaningful debate in 20 years. You have ZERO interest in understanding any complex issue such as why Putin invaded Ukraine. You do have an AGENDA to blame liberals.

You aren't shifting anyone's mind on here - you haven't changed anyone's mind in 20 years of your "premium" and "educational" posts. What kind of person does that? You either are so full of yourself that you can't see that you are a buffoon, or you are so small that you get a kick out of being an irritant like a nuisance mosquito keeping one up at night.
