Endeavor has another season coming up I forgot that this was the origin story of Inspector Morse, been watching a lot of the original Morse and I don't really see it being a convincing young Morse, but I think it's the best of the 3 series that are linked. What's your best British crime drama? Endeavor is my favorite with Grantchester being my 2nd but because of the overall interactions than the crime.
He did everything right for a while; Taylor Sheridan: both Sicarios, Hell or High Water, Wind River, some people love Yellowstone; but not much good after that. I'm going to check out Mayor of Kinsgtown soon, just to see what's up. This may be a write less, write better situation.
I was not familiar with Lil Dicky until I started watching Dave. Since then I have checked out his youtube videos and radio freestyles and the guy has some serious talent. You probably already knew that but I didn't until now.
I did not know he did the Sicario's I have been interested in Mayor of Kingstown and have heard great things about Hell or High Water. If I knew about those things I probably would have tried it built that train has left the station for me, especially considering he is spinning off all this other stuff.
My older daughter would quickly say Broadchurch since she is all into David Tennant, but my two favorites were Luther and Happy Valley.
I watched Luther I enjoyed it for the most part, but it was very overwrought toward the end and did not make much sense. I keep hearing good things about happy valley but have not gotten around to it, and started Broadchurch but never finished it. I like Tenant as well and love Olivia Coleman.
While many shows peter out as they go, this probably also coincide with the change in how they handled one of my favorite characters of all time.. Alice Morgan, played by Ruth Wilson. Also the sparse number of episodes per season made it harder to follow. Happy Valley was much more consistently good. An unlikely main character, wonderfully acted by Sarah Lancashire. One more we all enjoyed... River, with Stellen Skarsgardand Nicola Walker.
I watched that series. It was okay. Had some suprise moments, but the story seems so unbelievable it just didn't hit great.
The Cleaning Lady - Started off okay and now has turned into a terribly written love triangle snooze fest.
Jeez . . . . don't tell me that Well go on . .cause I have been skipping it for a minute I too thought it started out ok . . .then just unraveled Rocket River
I thought it was going the route of her just cleaning a ton of the mess the mob makes. Going deeper into how good she is at cleaning crime scenes kind of like the cleaning crew in John wick. Without ruining much let’s just say the choices some characters make is stupid because Nadia is fine as hell.
It started getting too crazy and kind of predictable. The Gangster was caring too d*mn much Rocket River
Finished reacher. Thought it was a good 4/5. Spoiler I was hoping for the twist to be less transparent. I don't know how he survived the explosion but that's was intentional? Overall I liked the dialogue and characters. The end fight scene was a bit unbelievable in how long it lasted but I can see how it was extended for emotional payoff. Actor only has like 4 acting faces and 2 voice deliveries. It turns him into a high functioning spectrum guy that was portrayed in the Benedict Cumberbatch Sherlocks. Overall, it didn't seem like it broke the bank with set pieces or sfx like Jack Ryan (very similar vibes with similar gaps in plot when it's convenient) so I hope they crank another season in a year like a normal show would...
Peacemaker - 7/10 I really liked the overall story arc … but … some of the dialog is straight out of a middle school boys locker room. The series did enough for me to want to watch the next season.
