Putin way underestimated the Ukraine and way overestimated his forces - now the questions is, can he find a way to save face and get out? Or, will Russia force him out...... How long will his firm grip remain - that is the question. DD
They are traitors to their fellow Ethnic/cultural brothers. Putin has murdered their people and this sellout goes to war because Putin promises HIM wealth.
Not trying to sound dumb here, though I know I will (and often do), but wouldn't NATO and the US just...literally wipe Russia off the map. I mean it is what it is at that point. Moscow would be obliterated in a way that would make Japan look like fireworks show.
A lot of people thinking Putin simply isn't all there, and I can't think of any other conclusion at this point. The cost benefit ratio to this invasion is so grossly skewed in the wrong direction, and that's even if things went well. Putin's biggest hammer was always "give me this or I'll start some s**t", well, you can't make that threat once you've already started some s**t. Now NATO is on guard, Germany just committed to a crazy jump in military budget, all of russia is taking it up the ass, and the countries that didn't want to join NATO so as not to ruffle feathers, now are considering joining NATO because peaceful Russia is off the table. All for what, temporarily destabilizing Ukraine and a few resources? He's lost every piece of leverage he has, so now threating to end the world is literally his only viable card left to play. If the prospect of nukes weren't so alarming, it's actually kind of pathetic. Russia was the biggest dog in the yard, and now they have to risk everything and threaten the apocalypse just to bully one small neighbor.
not as awkward as being a trump supporter. the cult cant even get their story straight on whether or not what putin is doing is good or bad. fat boy praises putin, says he is bringing peace to ukraine and says we should do the same to mexico. then in the same interview he says putin would have never invaded if he was still president. it must be tough being a republican. before trump came along they were very much pro-interventionist and then he single-handedly turned the entire GOP into isolationists. now they cant figure out...we have cult members on this thread saying biden is weak for not sending in troops, but if he did yall would criticize him for intervening. mojotexxxjorge is saying we should let putin have ukraine but then he also is criticizing biden for not doing enough.
i really think it's the classic case of someone becoming so powerful and so surrounded by fearful "yes men" and enablers that they lose any kind of reality check advice. Spoiler
I think the illusion of Russian military strength has been shattered too - their equipment is antiquated, they are poorly trained and unmotivated - I mean what is the old saying 1 guy fighting for his homeland is worth 10 fighters? Putin vastly underestimated Ukraine and overestimated his troops. DD
