You do understand that you have to protect American interests and businesses - giving them time to adjust? Sanctions also don't have an immediate effect anyway. 30 days is nothing in terms of making sanctions work - they take years to make their effect felt. The more you post, the more everyone can see how little you know about anything. You're really exposing a lot of ignorance and demonstrating what a bot you are.
right… we imagine how powerful they can be (as a force of evil or good), and here is the first time we are witnessing the potential in a major war. They are being neutral but imagine if they decided to blast their Russian user base with a message from the Ukrainian president.
There were multiple right wingers complaining that the US would have to buy their fertilizer from elsewhere as Russia supplies a substantial amount of our fertilizer. And blaming Joe for this. can they make their minds up? Lol
I also figured most Russians support Putin - the Russian communities in NY seem to be very high on Putin and Trump, and I noticed that as well when I was traveling through in 2017 - when Russian learned I was American they were curious my opinion of Trump - they loved him.
That's how programed they are. Biden puts up severe sanctions, and @Trader_Jorge will post how badly the stock market is doing. But given the markets have been doing well the last few days, they post that Biden has been too soft on sanctions! It's laughable. Just hilariously laughable. Stick to the Hunter Biden conspiracy theory @basso @Commodore @TheresTheDagger @all
Is that really false? We absolutely will continue to work with Russians on many US interests, just as we did with the USSR during the cold war. I don't think that's in doubt - as much as we hate Russia, you can't just pretend they don't exist. They have veto power on the UN Security Council, so of course we'll work with them on common interests.
Someone is documenting solider, western volunteer and civilian accounts firsthand. Definitely an interesting follow and you can feel/hear the pain of some. So crazy we’re in the social media age of war. https://instagram.com/battles.and.beers?utm_medium=copy_link
That would be interesting...would the President have the legal authority to do that under the Defense Production Act?
Biden's "hard hitting sanctions" on Russia are not even touching their oil & gas exports. 50% of Russia's revenue. Unbelievable. So weak. Biden WH slammed after acknowledging sanctions 'not designed' to disrupt Russia energy exports https://www.foxnews.com/politics/bi...ns-not-designed-disrupt-russia-energy-exports
Other than maybe.... ...when trump cowered to Putin at every chance he could and practically looked up to him like a little school boy. Meanwhile, Trump tried to test down the Ukraine at every chance he could because he thought they were helping his political rival, which in hindsight, most likely came from his crush over there in Russia. All because...he let some hookers pee on him in a Russian Hotel. Or something. Meanwhile, Trump is praising Putin still.
I saw a calculation somewhere that the U.S. purchase of Russian gasoline was $50 million-ish per day (for 150,000 to 200,000 barrels of Russian oil and about 500,000 barrels of refined products a day). don't quote me on the numbers, but anyway you slice it that's a lot of US currency flowing into Russia
Once again, the opposite of what you said is true. Trump threatened Putin and Putin believed him enough to not move on Ukraine. With Biden in charge, Putin knew the US was weak and would let him move without consequence. And that's exactly what happened.
