I'm usually the one saying the "needs 20 lbs of muscle" take is a trash take. Man weight is a real thing. I legit don't think Holmgren ever hits 195, let alone 215, 230 or beyond.
That’s fair. Opinions are to individuals. He’s the best prospect in the draft and the only player in the draft that has top 5 player in the league upside.
IF he were the best prospect, projecting kids let alone an absolute anomaly into top 5 player in the league territory should be a lesson we learned last offseason.
There isn’t a ton of projection, he’s been MVP in international play. He’s showing what made him the number 1 recruit coming out of high school in college. The handles, the athleticism, the shooting, the defense, the mentality. It’s all there.
You cant really say who has top 5 player upside until we see how they pan out in the NBA. If you were asked between Harden and Blake Griffin prior to the draft who has top 5 player upside pretty sure people would say its BG.
Who will be the Sengun of this draft? A stud player who drops to 10th or wherever the Brooklyn pick realistically ends up being? So many possibilities and on 5 players can play on the court at the same time.
10th is still a lotto pick man the 10th player shouldnt be a scrub lol Sengun is 16th majority of guys picked mid first and downwards dont amount to anything other than role players
I just meant a player that is considered a top prospect that drops 6 to 11 spots in draft night. Maybe Griffin's previous injuries? Sharpe's uncertainty.
No I'm not a Gonzaga fan. Seen some highlights. Skill level in college can mask plenty and I'm not denying his skill level at all. -I am saying he makes Zhou Qi and Christian Wood look like hulking he-mans. Christian Wood gets bodied by every guard with sandy pants, you think a LESS heavy, LESS weight room experienced individual would be any different? -I am saying labeling him a top-5 player is absolute nonsense and a ridiculous PROJECTION
Like I said, you need to watch him. He doesn’t get bumped off easy. Elite defender and DPOY type ability from the jump. I said he’s the only player in this draft with the upside to be a top 5 player.
I know he's at 195 back in December. I believe he can hit 220 after 1-2 years in NBA. Which is why I have him higher than Jabari now.
This is admittedly based on highlights alone, but Smith for me is #1 and Ivey #2. Nothing against Chet, but Ivey's 2nd gear reminds me of Morant. Teaming him up with Green, moving KPJ to the 3 and then Sengun and an eventual 5 at center would make this a fun team to watch.
I 'm just psyched for March Madness to begin already. Wanting a Final Four of: Auburn Duke Gonzaga Houston for selfish reasons. Can you still buy 2nd round picks? I'd take a chance with the better Mobley in Isaiah.
