I was just thinking about how Poland must be feeling right about now, given their history of being bounced around by superpowers and their approximation to Ukraine.
If Ukraine kills enough Russians they will respond like many armies do like our troops did in Iraq, Syrian and Afghanistan, WW II and the Israelis do in Gaza, they will carpet bomb the neighborhoods and kill many more civilians. Keep cheering guys.
China abstains from Security Council vote and a couple of Chinese banks have frozen lending to Russia. There are probably some back door deals being held between US/NATO and China right now to peel away Chinese support for Russia. If Russia can't rely on China for support, then sanctions will really kick them in the nuts even harder. Combined with the fact that it appears Ukraine is ready to bleed for every inch, this is probably not going the way Russia envisioned. Now...Russia still has a bunch they haven't thrown at Ukraine yet, but it looks like they are paying a much higher price than expected. It also shows how good anti tank and anti aircraft personal weapons have become. One man and a Javelin is basically worth a tank.
