    Excellent draft analysis, kudos!

And this is a great thread, wish I'd discovered it sooner.

My NBA comp for Chet is also Porzingas. But you're right it is just a guide because Chet is better on defense while Kristaps is the better offensive player.

But I'm not sure Chet will be as good defensively as Mobley, at least not right away.

Mobley as a rookie is already top 5 in NBA in DefRTG in his position group (centers/forwards).

That places Mobley in elite group with Gobert, JA, Giannis, etc.

Agree here. Sengun has demonstrated an ability to muscle up with the big boys and he hasn’t filled out yet. Chet is a rim protector and back side shot blocker. On offense, he is crafty enough to score even if bullied off the block as is Sengun. It is really an ideal pairing.

His stance is insane but whatever works. 50% for the year on 64 attempts.

I was of the opinion this was a weak class to start but I’m slowly warming up to a couple guys. If anyone is interested y’all should check out the game film of John Butler from FSU. Especially the game against Duke. Got a feeling he’ll be shooting up boards.m after workouts. Ideally we can snag a pick in the late lotto to target him.

11th is much too low for AJ.

Vecenie will revise soon, I'm sure.

I may take AJ Griffin at 4 or even maybe at 3 if he continues or improves his level of play. His injury history is concerning.

    Great stuff @Nook !

Upset it took me this long to find this thread but glad I found it.

Would love to see your updated analysis.

Especially regarding the late lotto where that bkn pick is residing, since a lot has changed on that front since your initial thoughts.

Solid breakdown addressing some real weaknesses in his game. Personally I've only watched about 3 duke games this yr (L'ville, unc and the 1st uva matchup) and AJ's defense especially on-ball wasn't as good as I expected for someone with his build. I'm not completely sold on him being a better prospect than Paolo or even worthy of a top 5-6 pick just yet. But then again I don't know as much as Nook :D

I agree, I think the hype is not warranted, have not seen much skill off the dribble to be a top 5 guy and even less play making ability.

Idk, I get the vibe that Chet will be good enough to be annoying on another team, but never pan out enough to live up to the hype. Sorta like Andrew Bogut. (Not comparing his skills to Andrew Bogut, just comparing my potential annoyance level).

Maybe, but what do you base this on?

I will try to get to it early in the week. There are some changes based on a larger sample size and performances but not a lot radically different.
