    he's an A hole.
    I can totally believe this.

I was a fan of his when he played in Cincinnati, before he came to Texas. Then around 2010 or so I produced a sit-down interview with him and It was literally the biggest disappointment I've ever had when meeting a celebrity. He was a complete jerk the entire time.

I've dealt with a good handful of celebrities over the years and Hamilton was by-far the worst. Most were nice, a couple were a bit too Hollywood, but none were flat-out jerks except for Hamilton.

This doesn't surprise me at all.

He's had mental and chemical-dependency problems since he was a teenager. I thought he had put it together, but apparently not.

Treating your child like that is rock bottom. I hope he gets help and can heal his relationship with his daughter. ****ing sad.

A friend's wife went to high school with Hamilton and his ex-wife in NC...she said they were the two worst people she had ever met in her life.

clear anger management issues and lack of impulse control combined with being a dirt bag

daughter will probably need counseling in order to repair that relationship

    I find it sad.

He has never had to be held accountable his entire life growing up.

He puts it together enough to be a great baseball player and then purposely falls back apart.

He beat the hell out of her. There is no chance he can heal his relationship with his daughter. That would be for her to decide. No excuse for treating anyone like that much less a female, much less than your own daughter. Serious **** this guy.

That recap from ESPN doesn't strike me as 'beating the hell' out of someone. Zero defense of the guy, he was wrong, not trying to minimize anything, but that sounded like a parent going way overboard with spanking their kid. Child abuse, yes. Beating the hell out of someone? No. I've been jumped and had the hell beat out of me. It was borderline hospital time, my face and body were black and blue. I guess it's subjective but it's not what I consider being beat the hell out of.

Sad situation. I do think there's healing that can happen, but it's a long road.

Again, no defense of this guy, at all. It's inexcusable. He's a total prick. **** him. I just think the media sensationalizes and blows up things to sell advertising. I hope things work out. Like @Nook said, sad story. It's sad regardless of who the parent is.

How is that not beating? Pinning her down and then hitting her legs with open hands and closed fists. You don’t think her legs weren’t black and blue?

That's beating for sure. Beating the hell out of is different. Its a measurement.

If the Rockets beat someone, it was a win.

If the Rockets beat the hell out of someone, it's a blowout.

    Semantics matter.

It's all just an academic debate now. Josh Hamilton is a POS, as you said.
