Thought the same. They could've had him at 10, but had brought in CP3 days before and went a different direction.

Kings traded their best young player for Sabonis, and they’re still trash

what they should’ve done is look to get out of Fox’s contract, but no, Kings gon King

at this point, I think the Kings need to just move to Seattle and get a fresh start…a complete makeover and overhaul…leave all that bad juju behind in Sacramento

the bad juju resides in Vivek Ranadive man. as long as he's the owner and wants to impart his own wisdom on how to construct a basketball team the Kings will continue to King. lol

Sacramento itself seems cursed to me

Kings relocated there from Kansas City and immediately had 13 straight below .500 seasons…aside from their little stint with Chris Webber and Adelman, they have been abysmal

Ranadive needs to get tossed into the bushes, but I’d also leave Sacramento…they’ve been there 30+ years and received no blessings, it’s time to pack up and dip

you're right about not receiving any blessings.

2008 draft: 12th pick Jason Thompson. Not a bad pick given the other players that were selected after him
2009: Tyreke Evans (4th). Plethora of players after Evans (Steph, Derozan, Jrue Holiday, Jeff Teague, Rubio, etc.) has gone on to better and/or longer careers
2010: Cousins (5th). Solid pick but if we're playing the hindsight game: Hayward and Paul George were there for the taking.
2011: Biyombo (7th). Woof. but then they traded this pick to Charlotte for Jimmer Fredette. Double Woof.
2012: FOE member TRob (5th). Triple Woof. "Most ready prospect" was the tagline I believe for Robinson. Dame, Harrison Barnes, even Drummond would have been better selections
2013: McLemore (7th). Trying to make up for their mistake a year prior by taking on ultimate chucker Ben here. McCollum, Steven Adams, Giannis, etc were still around at 7
2014: Stauskas (8th). No comment needed
2015: WCS (6th). At this point the Kings have drafted 2 Kentucky players and 2 Kansas players and a few players that gained notoriety during March Madness. So now we know how the Kings scout their prospects--big programs or watch NCAA in March
2016: Chriss (8th). By now the Kings should not be in the business of drafting big men
2017: Fox (5th). Another Wildcat! Not a bad pick but he's clearly had a less heralded NBA career than Adebayo, Donovan Mitchell, John Collins, Jarrett Allen who were all drafted after Fox
2018: Bagley (2nd) lol Another big man??? they never learn!
    2019: Thank god they didn't have a 1st
2020: Vassell (11th) and Haliburton (12th). At least they hit on 50% of their 1st rounder but, oh wait, he just got traded.
2021: Davion Mitchell (9th). Maybe they thought Mitchell was the BPA at 9 ..they could still be right...but Mitchell was 22 years old at draft time so I don't know what kind of potential the Kings thought he still had.

For adding a franchise big man Kings didnt seem to have any noticeable improvement to their team.

LOL. You're the one who brought up wins. Here's the fact -- for all your crowing about Haliburton, the Pacers have looked worse after the trade.

What a weird time to talk trash on the night the Kings win and the Pacers lose. Since the trade, the Kings are 3-4 and have an easier stretch coming up. They are obviously better in the short-term. Whether the trade is beneficial long-term is yet to be seen.

Let's talk averages. Haliburton is averaging 19 points, 10 assists, and 4 rebounds as the #1 option since the trade. Sabonis has been averaging 19 points, 6 assists, and 13 rebounds in the same span as the #2 offensive option. Which is better?

What's not debatable is the improvement in Fox's games since the trade. He's averaging 26 points since the trade, obviously because now he's the clear #1 offensive weapon.

Next time, don't talk trash on a night that the Kings win and the Pacers lose. You look absurd.

    1 game sample size?

They are 2-4 since they got their franchise guy.

They traded Levert and Sabonis maybe this is a shocker to you but they wanna be bad and lose games.

Their objective is to get worse lol I dunno if you and @jiggyfly dont understand the concept of tanking for a draft pick. Do you understand that concept yes or no?

I understand that one team is better since the trade and one team is worse. I understand that, since the trade, one team has two franchise players, and the other has maybe one. I understand that, since the trade, Sabonis and Fox have gelled well and Fox's game has skyrocketed. Again, I don't know why you think you're in a position to talk trash. You're not.

3-4 is still a losing record what an amazing improvement.

You are the one who is absurd here. Kings made that trade cuz they wanna win. Pacers made that trade cuz they wanna lose, this isnt rocket science. Therefore Kings having a losing record is bad for them cuz they kept the guy they are paying max money and brought in another older player. OTH more losses is great for the Pacers, they wanna be bad and surround Haliburton with more young pieces like him.

Tell me something who do you think is having a more successful season OKC or Lakers? Lakers won more games so you think Lakers are having a better season amirit

    Wait?

So they traded Levert and Dasbonis to tank by getting a franchise guy in Haliburton?

If Haliburton is a franchise guy he is supposed to make the team better.

You don't seem to understand the concept of a Franchise player.

I'm done with this conversation. You're no different than the typical twitter twerp who screams, "Bust!" when a rookie has a bad game. Narrow sighted, narrow minded.
