    The source called Dunne’s and Pomerantz’s departures a setback but said the investigation will move forward.

    in December, it was reported that the investigation appears to be coming to a head, with prosecutors focusing on the accuracy of the Trump Organization’s financial statements when seeking financing..

    Prosecutors have already brought witnesses before the grand jury, including a key Trump accountant and two Forbes journalists. They have also interviewed employees from Deutsche Bank, one of Trump’s main lenders.
    The investigation follows criminal charges announced last July that allege the Trump Organization and its chief financial officer engaged in a 15-year tax fraud scheme.
    The Trump Organization and the former CFO, Allen Weisselberg, have pleaded not guilty.​

    Going with the 10K per day fine instead of arresting the man seems like a cowardly way of doing something while actually doing nothing. Trump probably will refuse to pay the 10K per day. I assume Trump sent out a fund raising email today asking for more money from his suckers to make this up.

    Edit: I know I've defended Trump on different subjects but I'm not an election fraud stupidity believing Republican. You called not sending him to jail in this instance cowardly when it isn't an option..
