This is such a ridiculous retelling of history. Trump didn't hold Putin in check, Trump was Putin's friend so Putin waited for Trump to leave office to carry out his plan - which was always his plan. In fact, Trump helped him by getting out of Syria and thus freeing up Russian forces to invade Ukraine.

Had we stayed in Syria, Putin could have never invaded Ukraine. But sadly, your lack of understanding of the energy markets carries over to global politics and strategy as well. You're getting too old to debate on here.

Those Syrian air bases occupied by Putin are actually a really useful force projection vehicle to threaten NATO interests.

Trump bent over for Putin - a man he openly admired. Trump refused to enforce sanctions, did Putins bidding by removing US forces from Syria to help Putin free up his forces for Ukraine, and did nothing while Russia conducted cyber attacks on the US.

How ignorant can you be to the truth Jorge?

    Also likely impractically.

With his paranoia, he might be hiding underground in a bunker. His speech yesterday on authorizing aggression against Ukraine was recorded two days ago (metadata analysis). Nearly everything from Putin Russia over the last few days has been staged - from the security meeting with his cronies to the two speeches and the 'call for help from Russia proxies in Ukraine'. All pre-recorded and executed as lies to the world. The propaganda was poorly executed and the world is not buying a bit of it (sadly some political figures in the US do).

Sad day when republicans like @Commodore @Trader_Jorge @HardenVolumeOne need to root for Putin to score political points against their true enemy - liberals.

It's just really wild to argue that Trump would stop Putin from doing something that Trump himself is CURRENTLY PRAISING Putin for doing.

Like what kind of pretzel shop am I living in?

Them: "Man if Trump was around, Putin wouldn't do this!"
Trump: "WOW! Putin is a genius for doing this!"
Them: "See! Man he's so tough!"

Afraid not, especially about the oil and gas industry...... Worst bust since the 80s occurred under Trump.

Worst President in history by a landslide. A leader? Definitely not. A man who lies, cheats and steals to get what he wants is not a leader. He is untrustworthy because he is a compulsive liar. He certainly doesn't uphold values like respect and honor. I can't think of a single leadership quality in his bones.

He is living in a sociopathic fantasy world where he is the best at everything he does, even though the fact is he has proven himself a failure over and over. He acts like a pompous spoiled brat childish bully and throws tantrums when people prove him wrong by spewing propaganda and lies.

The Ukraine should start invading Russia and turn the tide. And like, one Giant Ukraine. Which as Alanis Morisette would say, isn't that ironic.

Trump made our country energy independent, which drove down the price of oil & gas. This crippled the Russian economy and inflicted far more damage than sanctions would have. Half of Russia's revenue comes from oil & gas. Biden the the ESG/Climate change brigade took actions to restrict production of oil & gas, giving Putin a multi-billion dollar windfall profit after energy prices skyrocketed. Now these sky high costs have backed Europe and the US into a corner that empowered Putin to make his move. Biden is weak and feckless and is disrespected globally. Putin has made him his bish and is acting without fear of consequence. Trump was feared and crazy enough to keep Putin from making a move like this. That's leadership. Biden slept through last night's invasion.

Your knowledge of foreign relations and energy policy are far too weak to debate me.

There is no critical thinking going on in the space between their ears. They just simply create a convenient narrative that makes them feel good. I'm now convinced that this disease has overtaken the GOP and they are all simply suffering from massive cognitive dissonance but they are so invested in their beliefs that they will continue to go to ridiculous extremes to justify their positions.

    They have become fanatics.

Actually, it's called accountability. Biden's weakness in foreign relations and the Democrats insane energy policy have created the mess that we are in. And now we live with the consequences. Bad policy must be called out. And the Democrats unfortunately, have made mistake after mistake in the last year -- leading to runaway inflation, rampant crime, war abroad, loss of freedoms due to their COVID mishandling, border insecurity, and many other complete and utter failures. Democrats are ruining our country in the same way that their leadership has ruined almost every metropolitan center in America.

Dude, this is so laughable of a garbage argument. Environmental restrictions don't impact oil productions for decades. You do understand that energy companies don't drill on lands immediately right? Right?

Fracking took off under Obama - not Trump - and that is what made us energy independent. That was the boom. The bust happened when OPEC (including russia) ramped up production to protect their markets. To blame it on something that isn't real - it shows you don't invest in the energy markets.

Be honest - you don't invest in these markets and you known nothing about them. You don't hold any position with energy companies or do any business with them - otherwise you wouldn't write the nonsense you just did. I invest in here.

So now your whole persona as a "mexican industrialist" is coming into question. What are you really? Some kind of man who watches Fox News and Sean Hannity and probably invests in crypto?

You can keep making stuff up and repeating the lies you get off of fox news, but what good does that do other than to keep you in your bubble.

The truth is for your benefit - not everyone on here on D&D. I suggest you open your mind and get to the truth. There's legit criticism of the dems you can make - you don't need to make up all this b.s. to do it.
