If you get a few all-stars even if you don't get a franchise player - that's a success. You have to remember that a very good team with lots of cap room is a super star signing away from contention.
All star I'm good with and I consider that an all start a franchise player. HOF'ers come around every 8-10 drafts if you're lucky.
I'd say there's a high probability that Green becomes an all-star looking at his growth trajectory so far and his talent level. The skills can be learned and he appears to have the hunger. Sengun, KP3 also have decent shots of getting to that tier or near it. Hopefully we can add a very good small forward in the draft this year if we get very lucky and then you just need to sign a fa star and you have a very very good team.
Depends what All Star means. I mean Jarrett Allen is not an Allstar IMO but he got lucky everyone was injured, had Covid, or had other issues. He is a good player no doubt. There are also players that make the ASG once or twice in their whole career. Do I think they are legitimate All-stars, very hard to say. Perennial legitimate All-Stars vs All-Stars because they got lucky, borderline All-Stars. If he has decent stats and tons of fans, he could challenge an All-Star starting spot. IMHO The All-Star selection kinda is bogus anywayz.
I think you are differentiating between super star and all-star. I mean making the cut as a top 20-30 player in the league.
Yes, I was but I would put the Top 5 as superstars and the others as stars or upcoming superstars. That way you still maintain a high standard and quality.
Still have to play out the season, the fact that we see the vets playing more then our rookies because the coach wants to save his rep is such a bad look.
With 24 games to go, we're 3 from the worst record and 3 ahead of dropping to 4th worst record. We're in the sweet spot my friends, enjoy it! https://www.tankathon.com/ Oh, and the Nets are getting clobbered by the Celtics.
Just did it 10 times too. 1st - 0 2nd - 4 3rd- 3 4th - 1 5th - 1 6th -1 Edit: Just did it again 10×. 1st - 4 2nd - 1 3rd - 0 4th - 1 5th - 2 6th - 1 7th - 1
Brooklyn lose, nice Minnesota wins, nice Atlanta.. so close for winning against Chicago! Argh! Overtake the Brooklyn position please!
If you don’t land a franchise player after top 5 lottery picks in consecutive seasons / fire everybody.
Org has a good track record 1. Ralph Sampson - franchise player turned bust because of injury 2. Hakeem Olajuwon - franchise player turned into one of the greatest eva 3. Stevie Franchise - turned into T-mac clearly a franchise player 4. Yao Ming - franchise player busted by bad feet 5. Jalen Green - ? (we'll see what he turns into 6. 2022 - ? Given our history with talented 7+ footers who get injured, I'm gun shy on pulling the trigger on Chet. Hopefully he gets taken first and makes it a moot point.
