Russia needs this to go as smoothly as possible because they are spread very thin right now -- just the cost of scraping the country for military equipment and moving it to the border is a major burden. Curious that Putin is taking such a huge risk when the likely outcome is a quagmire that will take years to resolve with no real victory other than destabilizing the region. Any major failure will be a huge embarrassment for Putin who seems desperate to demonstrate that Russia is still a major world power.
It's a very plausible take given the history of this country. Why hasn't the US just called him a terrorist, sent a drone attack, and call it a day?

You do know the Keystone pipeline was to pump oil out of Canada, right? Do you think Canada is a part of the U.S.?
There’s no way this guy is really confusing the Keystone Pipeline in Canada with the Nord Stream pipeline in Germany is he?? If he’s trying to make a bigger case about oil and our future reliance on Arctic oil that’s just making a case for a major investment in domestic renewable energy. Does he support Build Back Better than since that bill was designed to do just that and remove our reliance on fossil fuels from the Middle East and the Arctic?? Either he’s making a case for Build Back Better or he is ignorant enough to not know the difference between Germany and Canada. Which one is it @HardenVolumeOne ??
