Been getting some great grapes from Walmart. Green Red and Jubilee I even tried for the 1st time Moon Drop grapes What is your favorite grape and are there any I need to search out? I figure with all the other terrible threads started in the last 2 days, this one would not be bad. Are grapes a healthy snack?
Why would you try to steal the thunder from a perfectly good fruit thread bump I'll be back in 20 years to give you an ear full.
what is it with this fruity attention whoring thread? nobody gives a **** about any grapes from the store My god man, look at yourself.
Grapes are too random in taste. I always buy red, but they're never consistent. A lot of produce right now seems to be crappy from what I've seen, but Walmart is always hit or miss on produce for me.
I do love me some grapes as a late night snack. I think as far as common fruit goes, they're among the less nutritious. I'll dabble in red, green and black/purple. Weird grapes to try - moon grapes (which I don't hate) and cotton candy grapes (which are fun once).
Grapes are on the lower end of the fruit totem pole. There's nothing like eating a large girthy banana.
Here in the Hill Country, the wild Mustang grapes are delicious for eating (granny used to make some ridiculously strong country wine, I still have the barrel) Cab Sav Temperanillo Tannat Muscadines From my experience are all good to very good. Never had a great one, I'll save that for the beer and liquor.
Texas Tempranillo is quite good. have not had much single variety Tannat outside of Uruguay ('tis to Uruguay as Malbec is to Argentine). would love to try some.
That's my go-to when I sample/buy local wine. Still not sure why I don't have a home in Uruguay or Argentina.
same. it's interesting to me that the wine growing regions of Chile, Argentina, Uruguay, South Africa, Australia, and New Zealand are, more or less, the same latitude.
