I see both points of view, because sometimes he looks like he doesn't belong on a middle school team much less an NBA team, then other times you're like this guy is a for sure future all star. I think/hope most improvement will come this offseason. Real, legit, long stretches to purely work on those aspects of the game that clearly need help. But if he wants to keep up this consistent stretch for the rest of the season that will be a very very strong positive imo.
Tanking got Sampson & Olajuwon back to back. Tanking got San Antonio Duncan. Tanking got Cleveland LeBron. Tanking works.
Strategic tanking can work for a season or two, but can easily turn into a decade(s) long perpetual rebuild.
With incompetent management and ownerships, sure. But the reality is that teams with incompetent management and ownership are screwed regardless of whether or not they're tanking. And some signs are certainly pointing towards the fact we might be one of those organizations under Fertitta. But the jury is still out.
Not anymore, because back then, the worst record got the number 1 pick......not how it works anymore....although this year the best player went 3. DD
Green falling out of Ford's top 25 under 25 list. 5 players from this most recent draft are included (Giddey, Kuminga, Cade, Barnes, Mobley)
That’s the problem. Wood cares about Wood. It’s hard for Jalen to get the looks and to be a part of the offense when Silas is running the offense through Wood at times. He kind of has too because he’s actually a decent NBA player. He wants to shine and show the NBA he’s a max player. I don’t fault him, but that’s not what the team needs. It meshes with the group think that Wood doesn’t fit the timeline of the team. Should we have traded him at the deadline? Maybe. But you can’t trade him for less than he’s worth and we don’t know that info. We need to find the right deal, whatever it may be, to ship him off. It’ll probably happen in the off-season for a first and a young player because of the inevitable top pick we will have this year, thus the same problem and discussion now about playing time and fit. You add a PF with a top 3 pick and he’s surely gone.
Oh yea, this guy was doing that for years with his mock drafts to make himself appear smarter than he actually was. Total chad move right there.
Green doesn't need to take over, he's not good enough. when he forces shots he plays worse and worse. Right now what he's doing is fine, get 3-4 three pointers to fall, get to the line a couple of times, maybe a layup or two on fast breaks. Easy 14-16 points, on good efficiency. I don't want to see him go 5 -20 from the field, it's embarrassing and doesn't help his confidence
