It's sickening that Texans are predominantly voting for the GOP candidates after all that has happened the past few years. They are destroying lives in this state, and have 3 agendas. The Wall, kissing Trump's butt and helping the NRA and the big whigs who feed their pockets to get outrageous tax breaks.

Then why are all the California and New York liberals moving down here driving up our costs?

Because they started listening to Joe Rogan

    Nah, Just kidding

Look dude, some people here, especially on this section will not seek the truth, they will only seek what they want to hear.

Just ask the Californians who move to Texas. JUST ASK THEM.

Not too hard, plenty of them everywhere, Houston, Dallas, Austin, San Antonio ..

Commercials this year are so off the wall bizarre I cannot believe they think Texas is this red. Running to the right of Abbott is really something and having every other word be “Trump” really is reading the room in a strange way. Either things are worse than I see or Trumpism has somehow just skyrocketed in popularity for no reason.

Of course all these guys will try and act like they don’t know who Trump is after they win the primary.

4.4% Voter turnout so far. These tactics are pretty logical given the voter base.

That's such a crock. The ones driving up our costs are the greedy Corporate giants that get lured here by guys like Abbott with huge tax breaks we pay for. The ones driving up our costs are the same ones Trump gave billions in pandemic stipends, even though they made a killing during the pandemic. Just think if Greg Abbott and Ken Paxton and Ted Cruz hadn't spent millions searching for fraudulent votes that didn't exist.

I'm a lot more concerned about gun toting killers all over our state than liberals coming in. The loose gun laws are making this state more dangerous than ever.

As someone that agrees we need new candidates from both major parties (as a Democrat, I'd like new candidates at all levels). I'd like Amy Klobuchar to run again (I supported her in 2020, both in our primary and as VP possibility). Curious though... ("other than Harris"... I don't think Biden runs for a second term, doubt Bernies runs and Hillary's name is only floated out there by retrumplicans)... which new Democrat candidates do you want or see running?

IMO, I think any breathing candidate would be better than trump. Maybe even non-breathing ones.

I could see Klobuchar running again but only if Biden makes an official announcement that he isn't running. That said I'm not sure how much widespread support she has and Minnesota candidates have nor fared well in Presidential elections.

Sure, I'd like to see that too. But just be ready. If there is a different candidate that runs their name will be added to that list next election.

It doesn't matter who the other Democratic candidate is because the way the GOP works these days is just to manufacture labels and personas that they will attach to any Democrat that runs. They are very good at it and have done it for a while.

Yea... MN hasn't had much luck on the presidential front: pawlenty, bachman (LOL!) and Stassen (had to look that one up... before even my time) on the gop side, Humphrey, Mondale, and McCarthy on the Democrat side. Guess the odds are better as a VP. :D

Apparently, candidate abbott needs to prove he is more cruel and heartless to attract votes from right wing voters in texas...

There's a political billboard when you're entering Austin that says Rourke wants to take your AR rifle.

I’m in Houston and just saw a couple of Ken Paxton commercials.

Talk about buzzwords and divisiveness. “Woke”, “CRT”, etc.. I almost expected him to call his opponent a “Chi-Comm b*stard”

Oh that's just the standard commercial running right now. I think they're all sharing the same template and just replacing the candidate as needed. It's quite sad and funny at the same time. Strangely, the other gop candidates for the AG seat are running ads attacking each other...not Paxton. I don't understand it because he's such an easy target. Indicted and federal investigationS. How can you not run that in your ads? Is the right that far gone that they won't attack a trump lackey even when he's been indicted and being investigated for basically being a terrible human being? Would voters seriously ding a candidate for not being indicted?
