AI was creative around the basket and had great body coordination, Rip Hamilton did not drive much at all and everything he did at the basket was because people were overplaying his jumper and Rip was the definition of wirey as well as being 6'5 with long arms.

What do you think of my Ray Allen-J Smith comp?

Smith is taller and Allen had better handles but he seldom drove and they both have that high quick release.

I think it is a good comparison. J Smith was always frustrating because he had the ability to drive and finish around the basket but refused to do it. McGrady was like that too, he settled for jumpers. Morey actually had a presentation at McGrady's house showing him how much better of a player he was when he would drive. Didn't matter.

A young Ray Allen could finish some inside but obviously quickly figured out he could be awesome from the perimeter.

Rip Hamilton was wiry strong and used his slight frame to get around picks and score.

I was talking about Auburn J-Smith to Allen not J Smoove because Smith does not have that kind of bounce.

I know, and I agree.... I think he has some Paul George in his game as well.

Jabari looks more like Rashard Lewis than Allen or PG to me. He’s clearly a pf without the ball handling of the other two.

I was very low on Chet because he was a 19 year old dominating highschoolers 1/3 his size, but his game has translated to the ncaa and he’s putting up amazing numbers. If his game translates again to the nba he is the only guy in the draft that’s truly “special”. Jaden Ivey I like a lot too, he looks like a mirror image to Morant.

George had a much better handle if he had any of that handle He would hands down be my #1 choice.

I was reading something or listening to something, and it seems Smith has been a main jump shooter all his playing life the only difference it seems is that Smith will post up more than he did in HS.

That scares me a bit I thought he might have more in his bag.

His rebounding and defense sets him apart and he can probably get off a shot against most people but I just don't like a guy who main claim to greatness is a jump shot, he would be lethal as the 1B guy.

He really is looking like a more polished Rasheed Lewis who is willing to mix it up inside, that's not a bad player by any means.

His numbers are amazing, my only issue is that he is usually shooting wide open shots or putbacks, I know he has a high skill level, but I just wish they would feature them more, I think that is going to haunt them come tournament time.

I have not been this intrigued by 3 guys at the top of the draft in a long time.

I really need to watch Ivey in depth, Griifin is too in love with his jumper, giving me some Benny Mc vibes.

Jabari has a better pure shooting stroke than either Rashard Lewis or PG.

Looks like a 6'10 Klay Thompdon or Ray Allen.

Sucks that Jalen's name is attached to the worst dunk contest of all time. I'm not saying this is a death knell for his chances of being a superstar player, but it proves that Jalen doesn't have "it", at least not yet. Athletes that have "it", like Kobe, Jordan, Dominique, Vince Carter, T-Mac, etc they showed up in the dunk contest and rose to the occasion. Even guys that turn into all stars tend to not embarrass themselves. Oladipo, Donovan Mitchell off of memory all performed decently.

Jalen Green embarrassed himself and it looks worse because of the fact that he talked so much and created his own hype.

Like, I am not disagreeing with you, but at the same time Mobley landed in a great situation where he can be eased in with Allen by his side.

Tired of your excuses….has nothing at all to do with coaching and I think Silas is horrible. Lack of rebounding is flat out based on lack of defensive effort….period. Watch him play defense and rebound. Just usually stands around when other like Tate are going after it. In G League he used to start running the opposite direction once the ball left the shooter’s hands. Look back at my draft OPs and you will see that no effort on defense and running back in the opposite direction were my two biggest concerns with this player. Take a step back and think of that mentality to abandon your teammates and make no effort to help rebound. That my friend is how you average a measly 2 rebounds per 32 minutes. Hopefully Mad Max can instill some heart in this guy.

Well, his performance looked as if Green thought it was a getting blocked at the rim contest with as many takes as the first dunk took.

I talked to a 20 year old the other day. For those who haven't talked to one - as in, had a lengthy, non-surface level discussion - in a decade or so like me prior to this talk, I think doing so will help realign some of your misgivings on Green. Now that I'm older (though still just 1/3 the age of @B-Bob) it's easy to forget what I was like and what I thought the world was like when I was 20.

Obviously, this isn't to say he's a flawless person or basketball player; he has plenty of things he can work on. But making this thread go 22 pages because people are angry that he didn't dunk as well as they wanted him to in a meaningless exhibition event that none of us actually care about, I mean, ****... Take a step back
